Abstract: An apparatus of an Integrated Access and Backhaul (IAB) node includes processing circuitry coupled to a memory. To configure the LAB node for inter-IAB node discovery and measurements within an IAB network, the processing circuitry is to encode a first synchronization signal block (SSB-A) for transmission to an access UE using a first frequency resource from a synchronization raster set of frequency resources. A second SSB (SSB-B) is encoded for transmission to a second IAB node using a second frequency resource from an off-raster set of frequency resources. The off-raster set is non-overlapping with the synchronization raster set of frequency resources and the SSB-B being time-division multiplexed with the SSB-A. A measurement report from the second IAB node is decoded. The measurement report is based on the SSB-B and associated with a backhaul link between the IAB node and the second IAB node.

Abstract: In a wireless communication environment, there may arise a timing misalignment for SRS-RSRP measurement. In order to address this issue, a UE may receive an uplink transmission from second UE containing the uplink transmission timing for the first UE. The UE may then set its measurement timing to be the same as the uplink transmission timing. The UE then carries out SRS-RSRP measurement according to the newly-set measurement timing.

Abstract: Techniques discussed herein can facilitate reduced frequency of triggering a RLF (Radio Link Failure) timer and/or a false RLF procedure via employing one or more mechanisms for associating BFR (Beam Failure Recovery) and RLF. A first mechanism that can be employed in various embodiments can perform one or more RLF-related actions (e.g., stopping a T310 timer, resetting a N310 counter) upon BFR success. A second mechanism that can be employed in various embodiments can comprise revising one or more RLF parameters (e.g., N310, N311, T310, Out-of-sync threshold, in-sync threshold, etc.) based on the presence of a strong BFR mechanism.

Abstract: Embodiments of an integrated access and backhaul (IAB) node, a User Equipment (UE), and methods of communication are generally described herein. An IAB node may operate as a relay between an IAB donor and a UE. The IAB node may receive, from the IAB donor, first signaling that indicates a first timing advance (TA) offset between the IAB donor and the IAB node. The IAB node may determine a second TA offset between the IAB node and the UE. The second TA offset may be based on a timing difference between a transmission time of a downlink frame transmitted to the UE and a reception time of an uplink frame from the UE. The IAB node may transmit, to the UE, second signaling that indicates the first TA offset and the second TA offset.

Abstract: Some embodiments of this disclosure include apparatuses and methods for supporting integrated access and backhaul (IAB) networks. IAB nodes may be configured to broadcast in-raster and off-raster synchronization signal blocks (SSBs) for establishing communications with mobile devices and/or user equipment (UE). The SSBs may provide control resource set (CORESET) data used for establishing a communication channel between a UE and an IAB node. The CORESET data may be configured to support the broadcast of off-raster SSBs in wireless communication systems. In some embodiments, the in-raster SSB and the off-raster SSB may share the same CORESET. In this case, the IAB may modify a bit pattern of configuration table corresponding to the shared CORESET and broadcast the in-raster SSB and the off-raster SSB while including the modified bit pattern.

Abstract: Systems and methods of providing DMRS for a UE are generally described. The DMRS locations in a resource unit of a Physical Resource Allocation of a shared channel are randomly determined, and the DMRS sequences randomly generated before transmission from a master UE to a wearable UE. The DMRS locations are disposed on different subcarriers and symbols in the resource unit and are repeated every k subframes or m resource units within the same subframe. In situations in which the collision/contention probability is relatively small, DMRS in control channels may be used rather than in the shared data channel.
