    Abstract: Devices, computer-readable media, and methods for allocating a source specific multicast internet protocol address to a streaming media content are disclosed. For example, a processor of a device may receive a streaming media content, allocate a source specific multicast internet protocol address to the streaming media content for a base station of a cellular network, allocate a first broadcast channel of the base station to the streaming media content, and associate the first broadcast channel with the source specific multicast internet protocol address. The processor may further generate a manifest file, the manifest file including an identification of the streaming media content and the source specific multicast internet protocol address, transmit the manifest file via a second broadcast channel of the base station, and transmit the streaming media content via the first broadcast channel of the base station.

    Abstract: Example frequency agile band-pass filtering methods disclosed herein include sending a first command to a frequency agile band-pass filter included in a receiving system, the receiving system to process a media signal to receive first media provided by a first channel of the media signal, the first command being sent to cause the frequency agile band-pass filter to tune to and attenuate the first channel when the first channel is determined to be experiencing degradation caused by a first type of channel interference. Such example methods also include sending a subsequent second command to the frequency agile band-pass filter when the degradation is determined to be caused by fading in addition to the first type of channel interference, the subsequent second command to cause the frequency agile band-pass filter to bypass attenuation processing invoked by the first command during reception of the first channel.

    Abstract: A method includes receiving, at a media interface device, a media selection command from a user device. The media selection command identifies first media content, the media content available from a first content source in a first format. The media interface device is configured to provide the first media content to the user device as second media content in a second format different than the first format. The method includes selecting a particular module of a plurality of modules of the media interface device to process the first media content based on the media selection command. The method includes receiving the first media content at the particular module, where the particular module converts the first media content in the first format to the second media content in the second format. The method also includes sending the second media content from an interface coupled to the particular module to the user device.
