Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media for enabling improved cancellation of self-interference in full-duplex communications, or the transmitting and receiving of communications in a single frequency band without requiring time, frequency, or code divisions. The system estimates the signal strength and phase of a self-interference signal, generates a cancellation signal based on this estimate, then uses the cancellation signal to suppress the self-interference before sampling received analog signal. After applying the cancellation signal, the system samples and digitizes the remaining analog signal. The digitized signal is then subjected to additional digital cancellation, allowing for extraction of the desired signal.

Abstract: A cloud services composition system allows customers to interactively create service constructs from network function virtualization resources. The network function virtualization primitives are modeled using a standard modeling language. An expert system suggests network function virtualization resources for use in the service construct, based on an expert system learning algorithm. The customer uses a graphical user interface to interconnect the resources and create the service construct. The process may involve collaboration with the network provider. The resulting construct is validated for use in a communications network.

Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, receiving network information for a group of video sessions. Embodiments include calculating an overall video traffic metric for the group of video sessions for each cell based on the network information and include determining a first overall video traffic metric of a first cell is above a first predetermined threshold and a second overall video traffic metric of a second cell is below the first predetermined threshold. Also, embodiments include generating a graphical map that indicates the overall video traffic metric for each cell in the cellular network and sending the graphical map to a mobile device in the first cell showing first overall video traffic metric and the second overall video traffic metric relative to the first predetermined threshold. Other embodiments are disclosed.

Abstract: An intelligent determination of a set of candidate handover-beams for a radio access network (RAN) can be facilitated by a RAN intelligent controller (RIC). The RIC can obtain data associated with user equipment devices and their current state, historical patterns, and a current state of serving network node devices and neighboring network node devices. Based on the obtained data, a handover procedure can be optimized by the user equipment by estimating the signal quality from a source cell and neighboring cells. Additionally, the user equipment can send measurement reports to the network to identify and quantify the quality of reference signals transmitted by the network node devices.

Abstract: A radio access network intelligent controller (RIC) platform can enable various highly secure, reliable, fast communications for first responders during emergency situations. Self-organizing service chaining of public safety edge applications, can be enabled in both time and space when triggered by an emergency situation. The RIC platform can perform reassignment of resources and network slices according to historical data and situational analysis. The RIC platform can select and provide the best frequencies and resources to ensure that first responders have communication services that do not get affected by anomalies such as network load, congestion, and/or related degradations.

The wireless framework can include a mix of wireless access technologies (e.g. Satellite, WiFi and/or LTE overlay links). One or more aspects of the subject disclosure include injecting TV content into the network at a few locations (e.g., residential locations) using satellite antennas (e.g., satellite dishes). Abstract: In 5G, a high degree of automated management and control mechanisms can coordinate various radios in relatively close proximity, via a zone, or in a cluster. Reactive automation coupled with hybrid algorithms utilizing internal radio states and known or expected external events or entities can enable a smart proactive 5G automation. The smart proactive 5G automation can minimize signaling between the radios and provide a hybrid distributed and centralized model utilizing a radio access network intelligent controller to increase spectrum efficiencies. Additionally, the smart proactive 5G automation can provide new service opportunities that can be offered by service providers.
