    摘要: An inkjet recording head using pigment ink as discharged ink includes a nozzle member having a nozzle for discharging ink. The nozzle member has an ink-repellent layer forming a discharge port face having a discharge port that is an open end of the nozzle. The ink jet recording head further includes a projection portion positioned around the discharge port and protruding along a central axis of the nozzle with respect to the discharge port face. The nozzle, in a cross section passing through the central axis of the nozzle, has an outline shape provided with a curved line having a changing curvature radius. A point at which the curvature radius of the curved line is minimum is included in the projection portion and has a maximum height from the discharge port face in the cross section.

Wires of a flexible wire pattern are deflected at least between the second bent portion and the third bent portion so that a pitch increases from the second bent portion toward the third bent portion. By bending the first, second and third bent portions so that the wires are substantially orthogonal to each bending line, the flexible-film wire substrate can be excellently bent without influencing the flexible wire pattern on the flexible-film wire substrate.

    摘要: In an ink-jet printing apparatus in which a carriage mounting an ink-jet printhead having a plurality of nozzles arrayed in a row of even-numbered nozzles and a row of odd-numbered nozzles for performing printing by discharging ink from the print elements is scanned back and forth over a print medium in a direction cross to the direction in which the print elements are arrayed to thereby print on the print medium, print data in conformity with the structure of the printhead is generated from entered information. Printing is carried out upon thinning print data, which is printed by the nozzles of the row of odd-numbered nozzles, if printing is performed by scanning the carriage in the forward direction, and upon thinning print data, which is printed by the nozzles of the row of even-numbered nozzles, if printing is performed by scanning the carriage in the reverse direction. This improves print quality by reducing edge roughness.

    摘要: An ink liquid fixing device used for an ink jet recording apparatus for discharging ink liquid onto a recording medium arranged on a given feeding path for the formation of images on the medium includes a housing, a first aperture for inducing air into the housing, a second aperture having a width wider than that of the recording medium arranged on the feeding path, this second aperture being arranged to face the recording surface of the recording medium arranged on the feeding path with given gaps formed between them on the upstream and downstream sides in the feeding direction thereof, a heat emitting source facing the recording surface of the recording medium through the second aperture side portions arranged around the heat emitting source, with the first aperture being arranged on one end and the second aperture on the other end thereof, and exhaust means for inducing the air outside the housing into the housing through the first aperture to guide the air to the recording surface of the recording medium by way of the heat emitting source and second aperture, and to exhaust the air outside the housing by forming the air flow through the aforesaid gaps toward the upstream and downstream sides in the feeding direction of the recording medium. Hence the prints on the recording medium are fixed rapidly at lower running costs.
