Abstract: Devices and methods of reducing overall Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request-Acknowledgment (HARQ-ACK) of user equipment (UE) using a large amount of carrier aggregation are generally described. The UE may receive a subframe from an enhanced NodeB (eNB). The subframe may contain a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) formed in accordance with a Downlink Control information (DCI) format. The DCI format may comprise a Downlink Assignment Index (DAI) for Time Division Duplexed (TDD) and Frequency Division Duplexed (FDD) operation. The UE may determine, dependent on the DAI, a number and ordering of Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request-Acknowledgment (HARQ-ACK) bits to be transmitted on a Physical Uplink Shared Channel (PUSCH) and subsequently transmit the HARQ-ACK bits.

Abstract: Techniques discussed herein can facilitate transmission and reception of group common PDCCH (Physical Downlink Control Channel) for NR (New Radio). One example embodiment employable by a UE (User Equipment) comprises processing circuitry configured to: process higher layer signaling that configures a set of combinations for slot formats for the UE; detect, via blind decoding on at least a portion of a control resource set, a DCI (Downlink Control Information) message that indicates a combination for slot formats of the set of combinations for slot formats via a SFI (slot format indicator); and determine a slot format for one or more slots based on the indicated combination for slot formats, wherein the slot format indicates, for each symbol of the one or more slots, whether that symbol is DL (Downlink), UL (Uplink), or a flexible symbol in the slot format.

Abstract: Technology for a user equipment (UE) configured for bandwidth adaptation (BWA) is disclosed. The UE can decode resource allocation information for a first radio frequency (RF) bandwidth including a primary subband available to the UE for data communication. Th 5 e UE can decode resource allocation information for a second RF bandwidth, wherein the second RF bandwidth comprises the first RF bandwidth and at least one secondary subband available to the UE for data communication. The UE can encode data for transmission to a next generation NodeB (gNB) using resources allocated for the second RF bandwidth in the primary subband and the secondary subband. The UE 10 can have a memory interface configured to send to a memory the resource allocation information for the first RF bandwidth and the second RF bandwidth.

Abstract: A device of a User Equipment (UE) includes a soft buffer including a plurality of soft buffer partitions to store a plurality of soft bits for a number of hybrid automatic retransmission request (HARQ) processes, wherein the number of HARQ processes includes first HARQ processes corresponding to a first Time Transmission Interval (TTI) Type of a first duration (TTI Type 1), and second HARQ processes corresponding to a second TTI Type of a second duration (TTI Type 2) shorter than the first duration. The device further includes processing circuitry to communicate with a base station in a cellular network, the processing circuitry further to effect a dynamic switching between a TTI Type 1 communication mode and a TTI Type 2 communication mode, and to selectively access the soft buffer partitions to perform, based on the switching, at least one of the first HARQ processes and the second HARQ processes.

The UE can initiate a listen-before-talk (LBT) procedure to be performed before the UL information is transmitted from the UE on the one or more UL subframes that are outside the defined TxOP. The UE can process the UL information for transmission to the eNodeB on the one or more UL subframes located outside the defined TxOP.

Abstract: Embodiments of a User Equipment (UE), Evolved Node-B (eNB) and methods for communication are generally described herein. The UE may receive downlink control information (DCI) that indicates an allocation for a new radio (NR) physical uplink shared channel (NR PUSCH) transmission, by the UE, in a channel of multiple physical resource blocks (PRBs) in a slot that comprises: a predetermined data region, and a predetermined control region reserved for NR physical uplink control channel (NR PUCCH) transmissions. The DCI may be configurable to indicate whether the allocation includes one or more of the PRBs in the control region. The allocation may include one or more of the PRBs in one or more symbol periods in the data region and may be configurable to include one or more of the PRBs in one or more symbol periods in the control region.
