    摘要: A bone-reaming system for use in bone cavities which allows for a less invasive and more precise surgical procedure is disclosed. An apparatus according to such a system may include a housing, a motor disposed within the housing, and a cutter attached to the motor and extendable through the aperture, wherein the housing is capable of articulating with respect to a bone cavity so as to allow the cutter to cut at least a portion of the bone cavity. A routing guide is used in conjunction with the apparatus to provide a template through which to cut preselected portions of a bone cavity. Also disclosed is a method for using such a bone-reaming system.

    摘要: The present invention discloses a method and an apparatus enabling the cleaning of a jack-up vessel, particularly the lower end portion of one of its legs. The method of the present invention discloses cleaning of a jack-up vessel having a hull, a leg that extends through a hull opening surrounded by a railing includes the steps of attaching a support to the railing, the support being selectively attachable to a desire location on the railing. A monitor is mounted upon the support, the monitor having a water blasting nozzle. Water is transmitted under the pressure to the monitor and the leg is water blasted using pressurized fueled that flows through the nozzle and is directed selectively to mudded or dirtied portion of the leg to be cleaned.

    摘要: A surgical drape with a functional interface for engaging surgical instruments, including a flexible, tube-like sleeve for creating a sterile barrier around a non-sterile holding arm. The drape is open at a proximal end, and has a hub at a distal end for connection to a distal end of the holding arm. The hub has sterile external surfaces that allow surgical instruments to be easily removably attached in a variety of directions and orientations, providing sufficient mechanical strength to transmit forces from the instruments to the holding arm. The hub includes an externally accessible, sterile actuator for actuating an electronic circuit local to the holding arm on the non-sterile side of the barrier.

    摘要: A multi-well assembly including a filter plate and receiver plate. Each plate includes a plurality of wells, which, when the filter plate is placed in nesting relationship with the receiver plate, each filter plate well has a corresponding receiver plate well into which it extends. The receiver plate wells are of a non-uniform cross-section in order to increase the gap between the outer walls of the filter plate wells and the inner walls of a corresponding receiver plate well when the receiver plate and filter plate are in nesting relationship. The increased gap size reduces wicking and cross-contamination. A multi-section well of maximum cross-section in an upper region and a minimized cross-section in a lower region, with a gradual transition between the regions, is thus provided. The multi-well assembly of the present invention also improves the repeatability of positioning the filter plate and receiver plate in proper nesting relationship and provides stability during handling, mixing and shaking operations.

The coalescing assembly forms a component of an oil coalescer having a unique hole configuration in its outer shell to prevent coalesced oil from being re-entrained into the gas stream. The oil coalescer is a component of an oil separator for use in aircraft operational environments and features high durability and longevity of 10 years or more.

    摘要: Multiwell filter comprising a filter plate having a plurality of wells, each including a support. Each well has a corresponding adjacent access port providing access to the corresponding feeding/receiver plate well, e.g. via a pipette. When the filter plate is positioned over a feeding/receiver plate having a plurality of wells, each well of the feeding/receiving plate aligns with and communicates with a corresponding filter plate well. Each access port provides access to a respective well in the feeding/receiver plate, and the wells in the filter plate are not centrally located with respect to the feeding/receiver plate wells, but are shifted in the x and y directions relative to the receiver wells in an amount effective for reducing or eliminating capillary holdup in the gap between the filter wells and the feeding/receiver wells. The wells in the feeding/receiver plate preferably are formed in a U-shaped bottom below each access port.
