The endoscope apparatus includes an illumination unit configured to selectively provide light of different wavelength bands and white light, a sensing unit configured to generate an image signal by receiving light of a near infrared wavelength band and light of a visible light band, and an image processing unit configured to generate a color image and a plurality of narrow band images from image signals of different wavelength bands generated by the sensing unit. The sensing unit includes a plurality of photodetection pixels, each photodetection pixel comprising an infrared sub-pixel for sensing near infrared light, a red sub-pixel for sensing red light, a blue sub-pixel for sensing blue light, and a green sub-pixel for sensing green light.

摘要： An apparatus and method are provided for correcting a color reproduced by a video device according to peripheral brightness so that the visibility of the video device is guaranteed under peripheral conditions brighter than the video device. The apparatus for correcting a color reproduced by a video device according to peripheral brightness includes: a lookup-table-creation unit which creates a lookup table based on saturation of the video device and brightness of peripheral conditions; a color-correction unit which corrects the color reproduced by the video device according to the created lookup table; and a color-error-compensation unit which compensates for color error resulting from correction of the color. The method of correcting a color reproduced by a video device according to peripheral brightness includes: creating a lookup table based on saturation of the video device and brightness of peripheral conditions; correcting the color reproduced by the video device according to the created lookup table; and compensating for color error resulting from correction of the color.

The method for rendering image signals comprises (a) selecting three-color signals out of the four or more color signals to be outputted according to a type of sub-pixel, which forms a predetermined pixel, (b) obtaining values of the selected three-color signals in peripheral pixels of the pixels, (c) calculating brightness values of each sub-pixel of the pixel by using the values of the selected three-color signals and corresponding color signal values of the peripheral pixels, and (d) driving a display, which controls brightness of an image that is represented in the display according to the calculated brightness values of sub-pixels.

The image combining apparatus emits light that is sensed by an image sensor, and reflects the light toward the image sensor in response to far-infrared rays being sensed from an object, thereby converting far-infrared information into information that can be sensed by the image sensor.

The apparatus for adjusting image quality of a display device includes a memory unit, an image quality evaluation unit and an image quality adjustment unit. The memory unit stores sample data about a predetermined color and characteristics of the display device. The image quality evaluation unit evaluates the quality of an image which is input to the display device based on at least one of the stored sample data and the characteristics of the display device. The image quality adjustment unit adjusts the quality of the input image based on the results of the evaluation.
