摘要: Compositions and methods are provided for supplementing a nutrition-depleting beverage. A nutrient supplement typically includes an active ingredient effective to compensate for the nutrient depletion incurred by consuming the beverage, an excipient, and a delivery formulation. An active ingredient may include a vitamin, mineral, electrolyte, or other nutrient. An excipient may include anti-oxidants, pH buffers, flavor masking agents, odor masking agents, preservatives, timed-release mechanisms, and other excipients added to the beverage to support delivery of the active ingredient from the beverage to the bloodstream of a user. A method for increasing nutritional constituents otherwise subject to a deficiency in a user as a consequence of consumption of a beverage, may include a method for making and administering a supplemented beverage for increasing nutritional constituents.

Received digital signals are processed to detect the existence of strong channels adjacent to the channel of interest and control signals may be generated based on the detection of strong adjacent channels. 摘要: An annular seal comprising a metallic ring having a cross section. The cross section includes an axially extending body portion having a radial width and an axial height. A spaced apart pair of sealing arms extend axially from the body portion, wherein each sealing arm includes a radially opposed arcuate sealing surface. The arcuate sealing surface may be convex, for example. The spaced apart pair of sealing arms are spaced apart a radial distance greater than the radial width of the body portion. A sealing system comprises a plurality of interconnected metallic rings wherein the body portion engages the sealing arms of an adjacent metallic ring.

摘要: A direct drive retrofit system for use with an M-16 or AR-15 rifle for conversion from an impingement system comprising: a gas block, the gas block having a barrel bore and a gas plug bore; a gas plug, the gas plug being inserted into the gas plug bore from the muzzle end; a bolt carrier key, the bolt carrier key being configured to mount directly to a bolt carrier; a rod, the rod being manufactured from a single continuous material stock; and a biasing means; wherein, the rod can be uninstalled without removal of a hand guard or the gas block by extracting the gas plug from the gas plug bore from the muzzle end, the actuating means releasing the rod, the rod being freely extracted thereafter by a user in a single piece.

摘要: An infusion set for subcutaneous delivery of an infusant. The infusion set may include a base removably attachable to an infusion site and a connector temporarily lockable to the base. The connector can engage the base in a plurality of orientations. The connector locks into the base after at least partial rotation of the connector about the base. The connector may include flexible arms which unlock the connector from the base. The base includes a cannula for insertion through the infusion site. The connector includes a tubing for passing the infusant. The infusant is subcutaneously passable from the tubing through the cannula when the connector is attached to the base. The infusion set may also include a hub removably attachable to the base that includes a needle that extends through the base and the cannula and a guard removably attachable to the base opposite the hub for surrounding the needle.
