    摘要: A biopsy device assembly performs a biopsy of an anatomical tissue of a patient. The biopsy device assembly includes a housing and a biopsy device that extends out of the housing and that collects and cuts anatomical tissue from the patient. The biopsy device assembly further includes a hemostatic agent removably housed in the biopsy device. Moreover, the assembly includes an actuator assembly that moves the biopsy device relative to the housing from a first position to an extended position such that the biopsy device collects and cuts the anatomical tissue from the patient. The actuator assembly also retracts the biopsy device relative to the housing toward a retracted position. Furthermore, the assembly includes an ejection device that ejects the hemostatic agent from the biopsy device as the actuator assembly retracts the biopsy device toward the retracted position.

    摘要: Disclosed are multifiber ferrule assemblies and methods for manufacturing the same. In one embodiment, a finished multifiber ferrule can be provided with a front end having a first front surface that extends beyond a second front surface, thereby inhibiting interaction with a laser beam during processing. A plurality of optical fibers can be fixed within respective optical fiber bores and extend from respective optical fiber bore openings to a position beyond the first front surface. The plurality of optical fibers can be processed by cutting and polishing with a laser beam for providing each optical fiber with a final polished end surface located beyond the first front surface. In further embodiments, an offset structure is positioned with respect to a finished multifiber ferrule after cutting and polishing the optical fibers.

    摘要: A preconnectorized outdoor cable streamlines the deployment of optical waveguides into the last mile of a optical network. The preconnectorized outdoor cable includes a cable and at least one plug connector. The plug connector is attached to a first end of the cable, thereby connectorizing at least one optical waveguide. The cable has at least one optical waveguide, at least one tensile element, and a cable jacket. Various cable designs such as figure-eight or flat cables may be used with the plug connector. In preferred embodiments, the plug connector includes a crimp assembly having a crimp housing and a crimp band. The crimp housing has two half-shells being held together by the crimp band for securing the at least one tensile element. When fully assembled, the crimp housing fits into a shroud of the preconnectorized cable. The shroud aides in mating the preconnectorized cable with a complimentary receptacle.

    摘要: The invention includes a flat plate exhaust sensor including a flat plate sensing element which is carried by a first ceramic insulator having at its upper end an upwardly extending annular ring. The annular ring defines a disc-shaped recess which is filled with a glass seal. Thus, the glass seal extends from the flat plate sensor to the annular ring of the ceramic insulator. The sensor includes an upper tubular shell which includes at the lower end a leg portion which extends inside an inner wall of a lower tubular shell. The leg portion includes a foot which is bent to match an outwardly extending sloped annular shoulder formed on an upper insulator. The upper insulator is seated on the glass seal. An intermediate gasket is formed by an active metal braze gasket between the foot and the outwardly extending sloped annular shoulder of the upper insulator. An external seal is provided by a braze ring which joins an upper end of the lower tubular shell to the upper tubular shell. The system removed the thermal expansion mismatch problems of prior art glass seal sensors.

    摘要: A magnetic recording disk is formed on a rigid aluminum substrate coated with a polymeric dielectric layer. A thin film metallic position-indicating track is applied to the upper surface of the dielectric layer. The dielectric material is coated with a magnetic recording medium. A thin film of aluminum forms the patterned capacitive and optically reflective track. The dielectric layer is composed of a very similar material to the matrix material in the magnetic recording medium.The disk can be flexible or floppy and it is not necessary to have the extra dielectric layer in such a case, where the substrate is a dielectric.

    摘要: A linear disk actuator is disclosed incorporating a magnetic circuit for reducing stray magnetic fields in the region of the disks and recording heads of a magnetic recording disk system. The moving part of the actuator is provided with a plurality of coils mounted thereon, at least two of which are energized simultaneously and in magnetically opposing relationship to reduce the amplitude of the stray magnetic fields. Movement of the actuator is achieved by both energized coils interacting with a set of alternating poles positioned on the stationary part of the actuator.

The panel glass undergoes a minimum amount of compaction on reheating, has a strain point greater than 470.degree. C., a liquidus below 900.degree.
