    摘要: A printer or copier and method generates toner images for transfer onto a recording medium. A latent charge image is generated on a photoconductor and is developed by the application of toner by at least one developer station to generate the toner image for transfer to the recording medium. A plurality of the developer stations are provided along the photoconductor to develop the images in color using a color separation method. A transfer band collects the color separations on top of one another to generate the overall toner image which is transferred to the recording medium. Multiple modules, each with developer stations, a photoconductor and a transfer band may be provided for one sided or two sided printing.

Each of the separate pistons and piston-housing are arranged and controlled so that at least partial removal or withdrawal of one or more of the separate pistons from the piston-housing or withdrawal of the piston-housing from the separate housing will produce a predetermined vacated area or space which conforms to the size and shape of the rolls or bread to be baked. The predetermined area vacated by the one or more separate pistons or piston-housing may be varied in size and shape, as desired, so that a single variable piston arrangement may take the place of multiple piston-housing arrangements required in operating conventional roll and bread dividing and shaping machines used in dividing and shaping rolls and breads of different sizes and shapes.

    摘要: A pressure device for applying pressure to a web-like image-receiving material, such as a continuous paper web in the transfer station of a non-mechanical printer or copier, has a C-shaped pressure bar which extends over the width of the image-receiving material and is open on a side adjacent to the image-receiving material and which is pivotable about a point disposed above the pressure bar, and a solenoid having a movable plunger which is connected via a linkage to a pin carried on the rear of the pressure plate such that when the solenoid is in a normal rest condition the pressure bar is forced against the image-receiving material such that the image-receiving material presses against the surface of a rotating intermediate image carrier having an electrostatically held toner image thereon for transferring the image to the image-receiving material. When the solenoid is actuated, the plunger retracts thereby pulling the pressure bar away from the image-receiving material by rotating the pressure bar about its pivot point. The pressure bar may also include an eccentric disc having a pin engaging the linkage so that the movement of the pressure bar is retarded as the pressure bar moves toward or away from the image-receiving material.
