Abstract: A polyethylene useful for a film including ethylene derived units and within a range from 0.5 to 20 wt % of C3 to C12 α-olefin derived units, an I2 value within a range from 0.5 to 20 g/10 min, an I21 value within a range from 5 to 100 g/10 min, the polyethylene formed from a process comprising combining a bridged bis-cyclopentadienyl Group 4 metal catalyst, an unbridged bis-cyclopentadienyl Group 4 metal catalyst, and an activator with ethylene and within a range from 0.1 to 5 wt %, relative to the weight of all monomers, of a C3 to C12 α-olefin at a temperature within a range from 60 to 100° C.

Abstract: Embodiments relate to polyolefin compositions containing one or more high-density polyethylenes (HDPEs) and linear low-density polyethylenes (LLDPEs) and methods for forming the same. The polyolefin composition contains about 40 wt % to about 60 wt % of HDPE and about 40 wt % to about 60 wt % of LLDPE, by weight of the polyolefin composition. The HDPE has a density of greater than 0.93 g/cm3 and a melt index of about 0.2 dg/min to about 10 dg/min. The LLDPE has a density of less than 0.915 g/cm3 and a melt index of about 0.2 dg/min to about 10 dg/min. The polyolefin composition has a density of about 0.91 g/cm3 or greater, a melt index of about 0.5 dg/min to about 6 dg/min, and a Tw1−Tw2 value of about −25° C. or less.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides films made of polyethylene (PE) compositions. In at least one embodiment, a film includes a polyethylene composition, comprising: ethylene content and from 0 to 25 mol % of C3-C40 olefin comonomer content, based upon the total weight of the polyethylene composition, the polyethylene composition having a total internal plus terminal unsaturation greater than 0.7 unsaturations per 1000 carbon atoms, the film having: an Elmendorf Tear value in the machine direction of from 10 g/mil to 300 g/mil, and a Dart Drop Impact of from 100 g/mil to 800 g/mil. In at least one embodiment, the present disclosure provides for processes to make a film.

Abstract: A mixed metallocene catalyst system can comprise at least one metallocene catalyst compound comprising a structure represented by formula (A) below and optionally at least one other metallocene catalyst compound having a structure represented by formula (B) below: A mixed metallocene catalyst system can additionally include a non-coordinating anion type activator comprising a supported alumoxane or aluminum alkyl, and optionally a scavenger. A process for making a polymeric product can comprise: contacting a C2-C22 alpha-olefin feed with the catalyst system to obtain a polymerization reaction mixture; and obtaining a polymer product from the polymerization reaction mixture. A polymer product can be made by the process.
