Abstract:
The present invention relates to a semi-transparent type LCD panel and a method of manufacturing the same. The semi-transparent type LCD panel mainly comprises a transparent substrate, a first transparent conductive layer, a first alignment layer, a liquid crystal layer, a second alignment layer, a second transparent conductive layer, a color filter layer, a passivation layer, and a TFT array substrate. A reflection layer is formed on a portion of the passivation layer. The area of the passivation layer not covered with the reflection layer is etched to a certain depth. The passivation layer has two different levels of thickness so as to allow reflected transmitting lights to be of the same color density.
Abstract:
A deadlock includes a casing, a front knob and a rear knob respectively rotatably formed on the front and rear walls of the casing, and a slidable latch reciprocatively mounted in the casing as driven by either the front or rear knob, wherein the latch is formed a triangular locking tongue having two inclined surfaces so that the latch can be conveniently used in a bi-directional door when opening the door either outwards or inwards.
Abstract:
Methods for providing novel compositions useful as influenza immunogens are provided. The compositions enable a host response to immunogen sites normally not recognized by a host. The novel immunogens can be used as vaccines or to develop antibodies.
Abstract:
A system and method for mapping a combined frequency division duplexing (FDD) Time Division Multiplexing (TDM)/Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) downlink subframe for use with half-duplex and full-duplex terminals in a communication system. Embodiments of the downlink subframe vary Forward Error Correction (FEC) types for a given modulation scheme as well as support the implementation of a smart antennae at a base station in the communication system. Embodiments of the system are also used in a TDD communication system to support the implementation of smart antennae. A scheduling algorithm allows TDM and TDMA portions of a downlink to efficiently co-exist in the same downlink subframe and simultaneously support full and half-duplex terminals.
Abstract:
An FEP pellet having a volatile content of 0.2% by weight or less. The FEP pellet satisfies the following requirements (i) and (ii) when used to form a insulating material coating a core wire by extrusion coating at a coating speed of 2,800 ft/min.: (i) an adhesive strength between the insulating material and said core wire of 0.8 kg or more; and (ii) an average number of cone-breaks in the insulating material of one or less per 50,000 feet of the coated core wire.
Abstract:
An onboard cooling system diagnostic strategy utilizes at least one temperature sensor fluidly positioned between an electronically controlled engine and a thermostat. The diagnostic algorithm operates by monitoring coolant temperature during engine startup. By comparing the actual coolant temperature during engine start-up to a predicted coolant temperature that should occur if no cooling system error is present, a cooling system fault condition may be identified. If a cooling system fault is detected, the diagnostic logic may activate the engine cooling fan or intrusively open an electrically controlled thermostat while monitoring the coolant temperature response to the intrusive action. If there is a substantial change in coolant temperature responsive to the intrusive action, this phenomenon can be utilized to correctly distinguish between a thermostat failure and a vehicle configuration error corresponding to an overcooled vehicle. The present disclosure also can utilize a similar strategy to diagnose problems associated with other vehicle fluid coolers that exchange heat with ambient air moved by a circulation fan.

The algorithm further allows the TDM of multiple terminals in a TDMA burst to minimize the number of map entries in a downlink map. The algorithm limits the number of downlink map entries to not exceed 2n+1, where n is the number of DL PHY modes (modulation/FEC combinations) employed by the communication system.
Abstract:
An angle-adjustable bath brush comprises a handle disposed with a sliding block and an elastic element that is connected to the sliding block, the sliding block having at least a protruded portion; and a connecting pole being connected to the handle which includes a plurality of brush fleeces and concave portions. When the protruded portion of the sliding block is engaged in the concave portion, the connecting pole is unadjustable, when the protruded portion of the sliding block is disengaged in the concave portion, the angle of the connecting pole is adjusted. When the protruded portion is engaged in other concave portions again, thus adjusting and fixing the angle of the connecting pole.
