Abstract: An example method of controlling a wireless access point may include associating accumulated-channel-resource-consumption variables with, respectively, resource consumers of the wireless access point. The method may further include, for wireless communications of the wireless access point determining a number of spatial streams effectively consumed by the respective wireless communication; determining an operational bandwidth effectively consumed by the respective wireless communication; determining a duration of the respective wireless communication; determining a channel-resource-consumption amount for the respective wireless communication based on the number of spatial streams effectively consumed by the respective wireless communication, the operational bandwidth effectively consumed by the respective wireless communication, and the duration of the respective wireless communication; and determining values for the accumulated-channel-resource-consumption variables by accumulating the channel-resource-consumption amounts per resource consumer. The method may further include determining whether to impose channel access restrictions on the resource consumers based on their respective accumulated-channel-resource-consumption variables.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for performing live upgrading of Access Points (APs) in WiFi-7. A method of upgrading an AP having Multi-Link Operation (MLO) and a Multi-Link Device (MLD) comprising a UMAC sublayer (MLD UMAC) and an LMAC sublayer (MLD LMAC), includes determining whether the MLD is in tunnel mode, and when the MLD is not in tunnel mode, switching the MLD to tunnel mode. Contents of the MLD UMAC are transferred to a controller; and contents of the MLD LMAC, comprising one or more MLD links, are transferred to one or more neighbor APs. Live upgrade of the upgrading AP is performed, after which the upgrading AP is rebooted. The MLD links previously transferred to the one or more neighbor APs are transferred back to the upgraded AP, and the contents of the MLD UMAC are copied from the controller to the UMAC of the upgraded AP.

Abstract: Examples described herein relate to a method and a management system for evaluating an information technology (IT) infrastructure's vulnerability to a network attack. The management system determines whether a vulnerability evaluation template corresponding to a network attack is uploaded in a template repository. In response to determining that the vulnerability evaluation template is uploaded in the template repository, the management system transmits the vulnerability evaluation template to a sensor deployed in the IT infrastructure. The vulnerability evaluation template, when executed by the sensor, causes the sensor to generate an assessment indicative of a vulnerability of the IT infrastructure to the network attack. The management system receives the assessment from the sensor and reports it via a dashboard.

Abstract: Implementations of the present disclosure relate to resource unit (RU) assignment to combat frequency selective fading. A method comprises determining, at an access point (AP), a plurality of channel qualities of a plurality of resource units (RUs) for a client. The plurality of RUs are configured to be available for communications with a plurality of clients comprising the client. The method further comprises determining, from the plurality of RUs, a target RU for the client based at least in part on the plurality of channel qualities. The target RU is to be used by the client for a following transmission with the AP. A target RU with good channel quality will be assigned to the client, thus the transmission and overall system performance will be enhanced.

Abstract: Examples provided herein describe a method for managing power consumption of a network. For example, a network device may monitor a set of network area zones of a network coverage area, where each network area zone is associated with a set of edge devices. A first occupancy state may be determined for a first network area zone of the set of network area zones based on usage of a first set of edge devices of the first network area zone. Based on the determined first occupancy state, a first power consumption policy for the first network area zone may be determined. Responsive to determining the first power consumption policy, the determined first power consumption policy may be applied to the first set of edge devices in the first network area zone at least edge changing a power consumption mode of a first edge device in the first set of edge devices.
