摘要： Disclosed is an apparatus for gaining high-speed random access to a track in a magnetic recording/playback system of the type in which a magnetic head is shifted to an adjacent track in response to a forward-feed/reverse-feed signal and the head is positioned at the center of this track by tracking control. When the track number of a track to be accessed is designated, the designated track number is compared with a track number at which the magnetic head is presently located. An apparatus is provided for fast-feeding the magnetic head to a track adjoining the designated track on the basis of the comparison, and for subsequently outputting the forward-feed/reverse-feed signal for the purpose of tracking control.

摘要： A still video signal playback apparatus having the capability of recording a still video signal includes an ordinary recording mode and a recording review mode. When the ordinary recording mode has been set, an inputted video signal is recorded on a predetermined track of a magnetic disk by a magnetic head, after which the magnetic head is moved to the next track. When the recording review mode has been set, the apparatus is returned to a playback mode after the inputted video signal is recorded, the recorded picture is played back for a fixed period of time, and then the magnetic head is moved to the next track to stand by for the next command.

摘要： An automatic tuning scheme for use in TV receivers includes a start/stop circuit which creates a search start signal and a search stop signal upon the receipt of a search start instruction and a detected incoming signal, respectively, a tuning voltage generator which generates a gradually varying tuning voltage under control of the search start signal and search stop signal, and a memory circuit for storing the tuning voltage from the generator when desired. The tuning voltage stored in the memory circuit is supplied to a tuner including a well known voltage-sensitive capacitance diode.

摘要： In a power supply circuit useful for a horizontal deflection circuit in a television receiver, there is provided a voltage-controlled semiconductor element, for example, such as silicon controlled rectifier, in order to stabilize effectively the output power voltage. The silicon controlled rectifier is switched between its OFF and ON states in response to two kinds of pulses: flyback pulses occurring within the television receiver and newly produced control pulses having relative phases with respect to the phase of the flyback pulses which relative phases differ depending upon variations in the input power voltage. Current flow through the silicon controlled rectifier charges a capacitor connected thereto which in turn provides the stabilized output voltage to the horizontal deflection circuit.

摘要： A polarization illumination device and projector having the polarization illumination device are provided. An example of the polarization illumination device comprises an illuminator and a polarized including a polarization splitting surface and a reflecting surface, the splitting surface and the reflecting surface form an inverted V shape. The splitting surface splits part of the light into a transmitted component and a reflected component and directs the former in a first direction and the latter toward the reflecting surface. The reflecting surface reflects a remaining part of the light and directs it toward the splitting surface. The splitting surface splits the remaining part of the light into a transmitted component and a reflected component. The former directed toward a second direction different from the first direction, and the latter is returned to the illuminator. The illuminator modulates a plane of each returned reflected light component and causes each returned reflected component to be incident on the polarizer again.

摘要： An image display system in which a plurality of magnetic recording/reproducing apparatus can be controlled via interfaces by a computer. The computer is adapted to output specification data for specifying one or more magnetic recording/reproducing apparatus to be controlled as well as control data including at least data on the shift of one or more magnetic recording/reproducing heads of the magnetic recording/reproducing apparatus to be specified. Each interface decodes the data input from the computer and transmits a given piece of control data to the magnetic recording/reproducing apparatus specified. The specified magnetic recording/reproducing apparatus shifts the magnetic recording/reproducing head in the radial direction of a rotating magnetic recording medium in accordance with the data on the shift of the magnetic recording/reproducing head applied through the above interface, and records signals into an arbitrary track or reproduces signals from an arbitrary track.
