    摘要: The battery of this invention includes a positive electrode including a gelled polymeric electrolyte (A) and using spinel type lithium manganese oxide as an active material; a negative electrode; a gelled polymeric electrolyte (B) in the shape of a film or sheet also serving as a separator, and both the gelled polymeric electrolyte (A) and the gelled polymeric electrolyte (B) are made from a polymer of poly(alkylene oxide) series impregnated with a liquid electrolyte. Since the battery includes the positive electrode using the specific gelled polymeric electrolyte (A), a contact area between the positive electrode active material and the gelled polymeric electrolyte is large, so as to attain large initial discharge capacity (at high rate discharge in particular). Also, since the battery includes the specific gelled polymeric electrolyte (B) as the electrolyte, manganese included in the spinel type lithium manganese oxide is minimally eluted, and hence, the discharge capacity is minimally degraded during charge-discharge cycles due to elution of manganese, resulting in attaining good charge-discharge cycle performance.

    摘要: [Problem] To provide a rectangular nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery for which the generation of a magnetic field due to current during use is suppressed and the danger of internal shorts between the positive electrode tab and negative electrode tab is reduced. [Solution] The positive electrode tab and negative electrode tab are both disposed at the beginning side of a winding for wound electrodes. An outer housing and sealing plate are welded in a state with the positive electrode tab sandwiched at a mating part of the outer housing and sealing plate. The negative electrode tab is electrically connected to a negative electrode terminal provided on the sealing plate. The positive electrode tab and negative electrode tab are divided by a space of 2-12 mm in the direction of battery width.

This object can be achieved by adopting the following configuration: a separator is used that is made of a microporous polyolefin membrane having an average pore diameter of 0.07 to 0.09 μm; a non-aqueous electrolyte contains 0.5 to 3.0 mass % of 1,3-dioxane, 0.05 to 0.3 mass % of adiponitrile, and 0.5 to 3.0 mass % of cyclohexylbenzene and/or tert-amylbenzene relative to the mass of the non-aqueous electrolyte; and preferably the non-aqueous electrolyte further contains 0.5 to 5.0 mass % of a vinylene carbonate and 0.1 to 2.0 mass % of 2-propyn-1-yl 2-(methylsulfonyloxy) propionate.

    摘要: A non-aqueous electrolyte secondary cell excellent in cycle characteristics is provided. This purpose is achieved by the following structure. A non-aqueous electrolyte secondary cell has a positive electrode having a positive electrode active material, a negative electrode having a negative electrode active material, and a non-aqueous electrolyte having a non-aqueous solvent and an electrolytic salt. The positive electrode active material has a lithium-cobalt compound oxide having added therein at least zirconium. The non-aqueous electrolyte has LiBF4 at from 0.05 to 1.0 mass % of a total mass of the non-aqueous electrolyte and unsaturated cyclic carbonate at from 1.0 to 4.0 mass %. The true density ratio of the positive electrode is 0.72 or greater, the true density ratio being represented by formula 1 shown below: (Formula 1) True density ratio=active material apparent density of electrode active material layer÷true density of active material.
