摘要: A nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery 10 according to an embodiment of the invention includes a positive electrode 11, a negative electrode 12, a separator 13 and a nonaqueous electrolyte liquid in which not only the positive electrode 11 contains a positive electrode active material charged at or higher than 4.3 V based on lithium and a halogenated cyclic carbonate is added in the nonaqueous electrolyte liquid, but also an inorganic insulating material particle layer is formed on the surface of at least either of the positive electrode 11, the negative electrode 12 and the separator 13. By employing such a constitution in the present invention, a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery using a positive electrode charged at a high electric potential of 4.3 V or more based on lithium in which the amount of a generated gas is small even when the battery is overcharged at higher temperatures, and the impact safety and reliability thereof are high, can be provided.

摘要: A non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery system includes a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery and a charging control system which has a function of detecting the voltage of the non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery and disconnecting a charging circuit. The non-aqueous electrolytic solution contains a non-aqueous solvent having a viscosity of 0.6 cP or less at 25° C. in an amount of 35 to 80 vol % inclusive as a non-aqueous solvent and also contains hexamethylene diisocyanate, and the charging control system stops charging when the potential of the positive electrode of the non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery is 4.35 to 4.6 V inclusive based on lithium. Thus the non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery system equipped with the non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery having high charging potential and excellent high-temperature cycling characteristics can be provided.

摘要: The present invention provides a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery that can be charged at high voltage and suppress capacity deterioration after charged storage in a high temperature environment.A nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery 10 includes a positive electrode sheet 11, a negative electrode sheet 12, a nonaqueous electrolyte, and a separator 13, and the positive electrode active material has a potential of 4.35 to 4.60 V based on lithium. The positive electrode sheet 11 has a surface provided with an inorganic particle layer. The separator 13 has an average pore size of 0.15 μm or more and 0.3 μm or less. It is preferable that the inorganic particle layer provided to the surface of the positive electrode sheet 11 contain titanium oxide or aluminum oxide.

摘要: A positive electrode active material of a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery is composed of lithium-cobalt composite oxide containing at least one of zirconium, titanium, aluminum, and erbium, and the nonaqueous electrolyte includes an additive expressed by General Formula (1) having an acetylene group and a methylsulfonyl group at each end of the molecule. It has the effect of forming an SEI surface film as with the case of VC or the like, as well as having a higher oxidation resistance than that of VC or the like. Thus the nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery employing as positive electrode active material a lithium-cobalt composite oxide with a particular dissimilar metallic element added, in which decomposition of the nonaqueous electrolytic solution during storage at high temperature in a charged state is suppressed, and there is little battery swelling is provided.

摘要: The nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery includes a rolled electrode assembly 14E formed by rolling a positive electrode plate 11 and a negative electrode plate 12 with a separator 13 interposed therebetween, the separator 13 is fixed on the outermost periphery of the rolled electrode assembly 14E with an adhesive tape for fixing a roll end 30e, an exposed portion of a negative electrode substrate 12c without an active material mixture layer 12b is placed on an outermost periphery side of the negative electrode plate 12, a negative electrode tab 12a is connected to the negative electrode substrate 12c on an outermost periphery side, and the adhesive tape 30e is not overlapped with a roll end 11d of the positive electrode plate 11 and a roll end 12d of the negative electrode substrate 12c. Thus the battery is seldom broken even when charging and discharging are repeatedly provided at high voltage.

摘要: A non-aqueous electrolyte secondary cell excellent in cycle characteristics is provided. This purpose is achieved by the following structure. A non-aqueous electrolyte secondary cell has a positive electrode having a positive electrode active material, a negative electrode having a negative electrode active material, and a non-aqueous electrolyte having a non-aqueous solvent and an electrolytic salt. The positive electrode active material has a lithium-cobalt compound oxide having added therein at least zirconium. The non-aqueous electrolyte has LiBF4 at from 0.05 to 1.0 mass % of a total mass of the non-aqueous electrolyte and unsaturated cyclic carbonate at from 1.0 to 4.0 mass %. The true density ratio of the positive electrode is 0.72 or greater, the true density ratio being represented by formula 1 shown below: (Formula 1) True density ratio=active material apparent density of electrode active material layer÷true density of active material.
