摘要: An ink jet printing head comprises a laminar airflow chamber having a front channel through a combined stream of air and ink droplets is discharged toward a writing surface, and a rear channel provided through an insulative plate and axially aligned with the front channel connected to a source of liquid. The chamber is further provided with an air intake connected to a pressurized air supply source for directing an airstream to a point between the front and rear channels so that the airstream makes a sharp turn at the entry into the front channel with the result that a sharp pressure gradient is produced in the liquid discharge path. A first electrode is provided around said front channel and second electrode is provided on a rear side wall of said insulative plate around said rear channel. Electric field is established between said first and second electrodes thereby causing the liquid's meniscus at the exit end of the rear channel to extend toward the front channel by the combined effects of the potential and pressure gradients and to be torn apart into a droplet which is carried by the airstream discharged through the front channel.

摘要: An ink jet printing head comprising a nozzle plate having a plurality of nozzles successively arranged in a row. An airflow chamber is in communication with the nozzles for discharging air and ink therethrough to a writing surface and connected to a source of pressurized air for causing an airstream to make sharp turns at the entry into the nozzles creating a plurality of sharp pressure gradients. A liquid chamber is located behind the airflow chamber and connected to a source of ink. A meniscus forming member is located between the air and liquid chambers for causing the ink to form at least one meniscus by surface tension over an area extending parallel with the row of nozzles. Under the influence of the pressure gradients the meniscus of the ink is contoured into a plurality of surfaces convexed toward the nozzles. Electric fields are selectively established between the nozzles and the convexed surfaces for causing the ink to extend toward the corresponding nozzles to be torn apart into droplets which are discharged through the nozzles to the writing surface.

摘要: A sound field reproduction apparatus generates sound field synthesizing parameters according to a relative positional relationship between the listener and the sound source and performs frequency conversion on sound data according to the relative positional relationship. A convolutional operation is conducted on the sound data that are subjected to the frequency conversion and the generated sound field synthesizing parameters in order to synthesize the sound of the sound source of each channel. The synthesized sound is subjected to wave front synthesis for the synthesized sound by using n-channel sound sources to reproduce a sound field in a predetermined area.

摘要: Disclosed is an apparatus for reproducing main data under an optimum reproduction environment. The reproducing apparatus includes a readout unit (20) for reading out predetermined main data and spatial characteristic data, made up of the information on characteristics of a space in an environment different from the environment under which the main data is to be reproduced, from a recording medium (1) on which the main data and the spatial characteristic data have been recorded. The reproducing apparatus also includes a processing unit (25) for performing predetermined processing for reproduction of the main data, based on the spatial characteristic data read out by the readout unit (20).

摘要: Reproduction AV data obtained from an optical disc 41 is stored into a RAM 50. An AV signal whose reproduction start timing has been controlled is outputted from the RAM 50. Breath of a viewer is measured by a sensor 61. A measured signal is supplied to a peak detecting circuit 63 through a low pass filter 62 and timing of a peak value is detected. On the basis of the detected peak value, a change point detecting circuit 64 detects a change point from an inspiratory period to an expiratory period of the breath of the viewer and forms a reproduction start signal. The reproduction start signal is supplied to the RAM 50. Reading timing of the AV signal from the RAM 50 is controlled to the timing synchronized with the reproduction start signal. By controlling the start timing of the AV information in accordance with organic information of the viewer, a situation in which the timing is synchronized with the actual performance or the breath, excitement degree, or the like upon acting can be reconstructed.
