摘要: A system is disclosed herein for providing a kinetic assessment and preparation of a prosthetic joint comprising one or more prosthetic components. The system comprises a prosthetic component including sensors and circuitry configured to measure load, position of load, and joint alignment. The system further includes a remote system for receiving, processing, and displaying quantitative measurements from the sensors. The kinetic assessment measures joint alignment under loading that will be similar to that of a final joint installation. The kinetic assessment can use trial or permanent prosthetic components. Furthermore, adjustments can be made to the applied load magnitude, position of load, and joint alignment by various means to fine-tune an installation. The kinetic assessment increases both performance and reliability of the installed joint by reducing error that is introduced by elements that load or modify the joint dynamics not taken into account by prior assessment methods.

摘要: An intraoral scanning system for scanning an intraoral dental structure of a patient in a dental procedure may include an intraoral scanner and one or more processors coupled to the intraoral scanner and programmed with instructions that when executed by the one or more processors cause the intraoral scanning system to build a 3D model of the intraoral dental structure of the patient based on scan data acquired via the intraoral scanner and output feedback on a display. The feedback may include highlighting a portion of the 3D model that includes scan data that includes a finish line of the intraoral dental structure, wherein the scan indicates that the finish line is not suitable for receiving a prosthetic.

摘要: Systems and methods for assessing compliance with position therapy. In an embodiment, position therapy is provided to a user while the user is wearing a position therapy device. The position therapy comprises, by the device, collecting positional data, determining positions of the user over a time period based on the positional data, and, when it is determined that the user is in a target position, providing feedback to the user to influence the user to change to a non-target position. In addition, the device stores a duration of use in its memory. The duration of use indicates a duration that the user has used the wearable position therapy device in each of one or more positions. An assessment of the user's compliance with the position therapy is then provided based, at least in part, on the duration of use.

摘要: One variation of a method for detecting breach events by residents of an assisted living facility includes: defining an access perimeter containing a first space and excluding a second space within a facility, the first space and the second space separated by a door; assigning the first individual access perimeter to a first resident, in a set of residents, occupying the facility; maintaining the door in an unlocked state by default during a first period of time; tracking locations of resident wearable devices associated with residents, in the set of residents, within the facility during the first period of time; and, in response to a first location of a first resident wearable device associated with the first resident falling inside the individual access perimeter and within a threshold distance of the door at a first time during the first period of time, triggering the door to enter a locked state.
