Embodiments of the present invention disclose a method, apparatus, and system for detecting performance of a layer 3 virtual private network. A first node creates an OAM instance according to OAM configuration information set by a user, and sends the OAM configuration information to a second nodet; the second node creates an OAM instance according to the OAM configuration information; and the first node performs OAM detection by sending an OAM packet to the second node and/or receiving an OAM packet from the second node, where the sending and/or receiving is implemented by using the OAM instance of the first node. According to the present invention, not only an OAM configuration procedure is simplified and manpower is saved, but also consistency of OAM configuration at two ends can be ensured. In addition, a configuration delay in this dynamic configuration manner may be ignored.

Embodiments of the present invention provide a label distribution method and device. A first routing device sends a first BGP update message including a first VPN instance identifier and a first RT to a second routing device. The first routing device receives a second BGP update message including a second VPN instance identifier and a second RT. The first routing device allocates a first VPN instance label to a second VPN instance after the second routing device determines that the first RT is equal to the second RT. The first routing device sends a third BGP update message including the first VPN instance label to the second routing device.

A packet processing method includes determining, by a node in a first network, a transmission path for a packet, where the transmission path includes a path in the first network and a path traversing a second network; adding, by the node, path information to the packet based on the transmission path, where the path information includes traversal indication information, and the traversal indication information indicates an ingress node in the second network to encapsulate and transmit the packet based on an egress node that is specified in the traversal indication information and that is located in the second network; and sending, by the node to the ingress node in the second network through the first network, the packet to which the traversal indication information is added.
Abstract:
This application provides a packet transmission method, apparatus, and device. For example, the method is performed by an ingress node. The ingress node obtains a second packet by using first node information carried in a first packet, where the first node information includes a first bit string indicating N next-hop devices of the ingress node and first reference information used for indexing second node information corresponding to a first intermediate node in the N next-hop devices, and the second packet includes a first identifier determined based on the first reference information. The ingress node sends the second packet to the first intermediate node. Because structures of the first bit string and the first reference information are used, a packet encoding manner is simple, so that packet transmission efficiency is improved.

There are a plurality of communication links between the first network node and the second network node. After obtaining a first packet, the first network node determines a first communication link based on a first link quality identifier carried in the first packet, and forwards the first packet to the second network node through the first communication link. The first link quality identifier indicates a first quality requirement on the communication link between the first network node and the second network node. The plurality of communication links between the first network node and the second network node include the first communication link, and link quality of the first communication link meets the first quality requirement.

The first command is used to instruct the forwarding node to set a traffic identifier for the target data flow based on the matching identifier, the second command is used to instruct the forwarding node to add traffic generated by a target packet to a traffic statistics collection result corresponding to the traffic identifier which is used to describe the traffic of the target data flow.
