Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide an access point handover method and an apparatus. The method includes: sensing, by a terminal, that a currently connected access point cannot satisfy a transmission condition. The method includes finding, by the terminal, that at least one access point satisfying the transmission condition exists in access points having names partially the same as that of the currently connected access point. The method includes establishing, by the terminal, a connection to one of the at least one access point satisfying the transmission condition.

Abstract: A Wireless Fidelity network scanning method and a mobile device are provided. The method includes: obtaining, by a mobile device, information about a distance between a location of the mobile device at a first time point and a location of the mobile device at a second time point, where the first time point is a time point later than the second time point; determining, by the mobile device, that the information about the distance is less than a first distance threshold, and adjusting a first scanning frequency at which the mobile device scans a WiFi network to a second scanning frequency, where the second scanning frequency is less than the first scanning frequency; and scanning, by the mobile device, the WiFi network according to the second scanning frequency.

Abstract: A transmit power determining method and apparatus are disclosed. The method includes: calculating, channel state information of a channel between the wireless access point device and a station device within a particular time range; comparing, by the wireless access point device, the channel state information with pre-obtained reference channel state information, and adjusting, according to a result of the comparison, a transmit power currently used by the wireless access point device; and sending, by the wireless access point device to the station device by using a transmit power after the adjustment, a message carrying data. During implementation of the present disclosure, a transmit power for sending data can be adjusted according to channel state information corresponding to a channel between a wireless access point device and a station device, thereby avoiding unnecessary power overheads and a waste of energy.
