    Abstract: This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to directional enhanced distributed channel access (EDCA) with interference avoidance. A device may determine a first radio frequency baseband (RF-BB) chain and on a second RF-BB chain associated with one or more antennas of the device. The device may identify a frame from a first device on the first RF-BB chain and the second RF-BB chain. The device may determine the frame is intended for the first RF-BB chain. The device may cause to access a communication channel using the first RF-BB chain. The device may determine an antenna pattern associated with the second RF-BB chain that does not substantially interfere with the first RF-BB chain. The device may cause to access the communication channel using the antenna pattern.

    Abstract: Techniques for interference mitigation in directional multi-gigabit networks are described. In one embodiment, for example, an apparatus may comprise logic, at least a portion of which is in hardware, the logic to send, from a source device, a first reverse direction grant (RDG) indicating that a sink device may transmit to the source device, detect interference with a received sink device data transmission at the source device, select a grant deferral period, and upon conclusion of the grant deferral period, send a second RDG indicating that the sink device may transmit to the source device.     Abstract: A wireless communication device, system and method. The device includes a memory, and processing circuitry coupled to the memory. The processing circuitry includes logic to: determine a training field length associated with a directional multigigabit (DMG) CTS frame of another wireless communication device; determine a Clear-To-Send time (CTS_Time) parameter based at least in part on the training field length; determine a transmit opportunity (TXOP) continuation timeout for the device based on the CTS_Time parameter; and set a network allocation vector (NAV) for the device based on the TXOP continuation timeout.

Furthermore, techniques for reducing the occurrence of exposed nodes are provided. A transmitter may transmit a frame including an indication that a PHY layer sub-header defining a bandwidth associated with a channel is present.     Abstract: This disclosure describes methods, apparatus, and systems related to providing a source device more degrees of freedom in the performing CCA, and in using CCA for communicating with neighboring devices. Before accessing the channel, a source device may need to perform carrier sense multiple access with collision avoidance (CSMA/CA), the CSMA/CA additionally comprising CCA. In various embodiments, CCA can be performed either using quasi-omnidirectional receiving antenna(s), or using directional receiving antenna(s). In one embodiment, one or more requisite conditions for performing directional CCA can be specified. In another aspect, sensitivity level adjustments can be provided when performing directional CCA and/or quasi-omnidirectional CCA.
