    Abstract: A display device is provided. The display device includes a first substrate, a second substrate, a base layer, a first shielding layer, and a first optical adjustment layer. The second substrate has a third surface and a fourth surface. The base layer is disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate. The first shielding layer is disposed between the first substrate and the base layer and defines a first shielding region and a first non-shielding region. The first optical adjustment layer is disposed between the first shielding layer and the second substrate. The thickness of the first optical adjustment layer is in a range from 1 μm to 3 μm. The reflectance of the first optical adjustment layer is in a range from 0.05% to 1.2%.

    Abstract: A liquid crystal (LCD) panel is provided. The LCD panel has a plurality of pixels. One of the pixels includes a first substrate, a second substrate and a liquid crystal layer. The first substrate includes a first electrode layer and a first alignment layer covering the first electrode layer. The second substrate includes a second electrode layer and a second alignment layer covering the second electrode layer. The second electrode layer has a first electrode pattern and a second electrode pattern. The first electrode pattern and the second electrode pattern are separated. The first electrode pattern has a convex edge. The second electrode pattern has a concave edge. The shape of the convex edge is complementary to the shape of the concave edge. The liquid crystal layer is disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate.

    Abstract: A touch display comprises a display panel and a touch layer. The display panel includes a plurality of pixel areas. The touch layer is disposed over the display panel, and includes a plurality of conducting-wire portions and slits. The pixel area has a pixel pitch, and each of the conducting-wire portions and its adjacent slit have a predetermined pitch. A moiré ratio is defined as (the predetermined pitch/the pixel pitch)×100%. The moiré effect of the touch display is decreased, when the moiré ratio complies with the formula, 25%+(50%×N)−A%≦the moiré ratio≦25%+(50%×N)+A%, wherein N is 0 or a positive integer, and A is an adjustment value in a range from 0 to 20.

    Abstract: A liquid-crystal display (LCD) includes a backlight unit, a display module and a barrier. The display module is disposed above the backlight unit and has plural pixels. Each of the pixels includes at least three differently-colored sub-pixels, and the differently-colored sub-pixels at adjacent columns are in a shifting arrangement. The barrier is disposed correspondingly to the display module, and has several slanted transparent slits. The transparent slits substantially expose at least parts of regions of the sub-pixels corresponding to the same viewing position. The sub-pixels are rectangular, rhombus or hexagonal in shape.

    Abstract: The invention provides a liquid crystal display panel with a multi-domain pixel layout, including: a plurality of pixel units arranged in a matrix formed by columns and rows, wherein each pixel unit is divided into a plurality of domains; a first alignment layer aligned to directions along the columns; and a second alignment layer aligned to directions along the rows. For two adjacent pixel units arranged in the column direction, the domains adjacent to a boundary between the two adjacent pixel units are defined with the same directions which liquid crystal molecules tilt toward by the first and second alignment layers.

    Abstract: A display apparatus includes a liquid crystal display (LCD) panel, a source driver, a gate driver and a timing controller. The LCD panel includes a main scan line, a sub scan line, a first pixel and a second pixel. The timing controller controls the gate driver to alternately output a main scan signal and a sub scan signal within every frame time. A time difference between the main scan signal and adjacent the sub scan signal is a delay time value. The main scan signal controls the first pixel to be written with a first polarity data and the second pixel to be written with a second polarity data. The frame times include at least two different delay time values.
