Abstract: An aspect of the disclosure includes a method, a system and a computer program product for removing dynamic images when determining the position of an object relative to a reflective surface. The method includes acquiring a first image of an object and the reflective surface with a camera, the camera positioned adjacent the reflective surface. It is determined when a dynamic element is displayed on the reflective surface. A second image is generated by subtracting the dynamic element from the first image. The object is identified in one of the first image and second image. A reflection of the object on the reflective surface is identified in the second image. Three-dimensional coordinates of at least a portion of the object are determined based at least in part on the identifying of the object and the identifying of the reflection of the object.

Abstract: At an application executing in conjunction with a vSwitch in a host system, using a processor assigned to the vSwitch in the host system, a flow of a number of packets is received from a VM. At the application, a set of CWND values is computed using a corresponding set of congestion control algorithms. At the application, a determination is made whether any of the CWND values in the set of CWND values match the number of packets in the flow within a tolerance value. In response to a CWND value in the set of CWND matching the number of packets in the flow within the tolerance value, a conclusion is drawn that a type of the congestion control algorithm which computed the matching CWND value is the type of a local congestion control algorithm implemented within the VM.

Abstract: An approach is provided that receives, from a radio frequency identification (RFID) tag included with a device, at least three different charge times. Each of the charge times corresponds to a different RFID reader that separately charges the RFID tag with each of the RFID readers being at a different geographic location. A distance between each of the RFID readers and the RFID tag is approximated based on the respective charge times and these approximate distances are used to identify a geographic position of the RFID tag using trilateration. The geographic position of the RFID tag is then used to determine whether to allow the device wireless access to a computer network.

The CWND value is stored in a field in a response packet received from a receiver of the flow, the field being designated for carrying a RWND value, the response packet corresponding to a packet in the flow. The storing forms a modified response packet.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to making a localization map for a network. A fixed location for a plurality of wireless devices is received and a bisecting line is determined in a plane for each straight line that joins a pair of the plurality of wireless devices. An initial wireless device access sequence is assigned to each of a plurality of regions created on the localization map by the bisecting lines based on the Euclidean distance of the wireless device to the each of the plurality of regions, wherein the wireless device access sequence is the sequence of the wireless devices that provide the strongest to weakest signal to the region. Receiving from a user computing device a received signal strength (RSS) value for each signal received by the user computing device from each of the plurality of wireless devices and updating the localization map based on RSS values.

Abstract: An approach is provided in which an RFID reader receives a response signal from an RFID tag affixed to an object. The RFID reader determines a tag charging time of the RFID tag based upon a first point in time that the RFID reader sent a request signal to the RFID tag and a second point in time that the response signal was received by the RFID reader. In turn, the RFID reader identifies a location of the object based on the tag charging time and generates a notification that includes the location of the object.
