Abstract: Provides is a method of producing a grain oriented electrical steel sheet by heating a steel slab having a predetermined composition, then subjecting the slab to hot rolling to obtain a hot rolled sheet, then optionally subjecting the hot rolled sheet to hot band annealing and subsequent cold rolling once, or twice or more with intermediate annealing performed therebetween to obtain a cold rolled sheet with final sheet thickness, then subjecting the cold rolled sheet to primary recrystallization annealing and subsequent secondary recrystallization annealing, in which the aging index AI of the steel sheet before final cold rolling is set to 70 MPa or less to effectively grow Goss-oriented grains to thereby obtain a grain-oriented electrical steel sheet with good magnetic properties, without the restriction of containing a relatively large amount of C.

Abstract: Provided is a method for manufacturing a grain-oriented electrical steel sheet. A steel slab having a specific chemical composition is heated and hot rolled. A hot-rolled steel sheet thus obtained is subjected to hot band annealing to obtain a cold-rolled steel sheet, which is then subjected to primary recrystallization annealing to obtain a primary recrystallized steel sheet. An annealing separator is applied to the primary recrystallized steel sheet, which is then coiled. The coil is subjected to secondary recrystallization annealing to obtain a grain-oriented electrical steel sheet having an average value of a deviation angle (α2+β2)1/2 calculated from a deviation angle α from ideal Goss orientation around an ND rotation axis and a deviation angle β from ideal Goss orientation around a TD rotation axis of 4.5° or less, and an area ratio Rβ of crystal grains with β≤0.50° of 15% or less.

Abstract: Disclosed is a grain-oriented electrical steel sheet that has excellent high-frequency iron loss properties and blanking workability. The steel sheet includes: steel components including, by mass %, Si: 1.5-8.0%, Mn: 0.02-1.0%, and at least one selected from Sn: 0.010-0.400%, Sb: 0.010-0.400%, Mo: 0.010-0.200%, and P: 0.010-0.200%; and crystal grains including coarse secondary recrystallized grains having an average grain size of 5 mm or more and fine grains having a grain size of 0.1-2.0 mm, wherein at least some of the coarse secondary recrystallized grains penetrate the steel sheet in a thickness direction and are respectively exposed on front and back surfaces of the steel sheet such that projection planes of the exposed surfaces of these coarse secondary recrystallized grains on the front and back surfaces form an overlapping region, and the fine grains are present at a number density per unit area of 0.6-40 pieces/cm2.

Abstract: A steel slab having a composition not containing an inhibitor component further contains, in mass %, at least one selected from: Sn: 0.010% to 0.200%; Sb: 0.010% to 0.200%; Mo: 0.010% to 0.150%; and P: 0.010% to 0.150%, and annealing that satisfies a relationship Td≧Tf is performed, where Td (° C.) is a highest temperature at which the steel sheet is annealed in decarburization annealing and Tf (° C.) is a highest temperature before secondary recrystallization of the steel sheet starts in final annealing. Thus, a grain-oriented electrical steel sheet with significantly reduced magnetic property scattering in a coil is obtained without using an inhibitor component.
