摘要: A method of minimizing an amount of memory area required to store a plurality of rules associated with one or more access control lists (ACLs) includes selectively combining the plurality of rules into one or more groups depending upon similarities between the entries within each field and storing the groups in a database including a content addressable memory (CAM) device and a random access memory (RAM) device.

摘要: A method for assigning state codes to states of a state diagram embodying a plurality of signatures to be searched for in an input string of characters re-organizes the states of a search tree embodying the signatures to construct a failure tree in which the states are organized in levels according to a number of failure transitions between each state and the root node of the search tree.

摘要: A search engine for selectively perform iterative compare operations between a searchable pattern and S overlapping substrings of an input string of characters includes a memory for storing a bitmap having S next success size (NSS) bits, wherein each NSS bit indicates whether an associated substring including a corresponding unique number of the input characters is to be compared with the searchable pattern in successive compare operations, and includes a compare circuit for selectively performing the successive compare operations in response to the NSS bits.

摘要: A communication network, networking device and method is provided herein for locating (i.e., searching for) an interval of numbers i within a set of numbers N given a point P. The search algorithm provided herein provides fast search speed (e.g., requires only one memory access) with minimum storage requirements (e.g., consumes up to, but not exceeding, N entries within a memory device).

摘要: A process for the treatment and/or removal from Condenser of contaminants from a waste water, waste stream, industrial or municipal sludge, metals, oils, organics and other materials consider to be harmful to the environment are removed from the feed stock; in the case of non-metals, mineralized and in the case of metals, plated to the cathode. The present invention provides an apparatus and methods which overcome some of the problems associated with the treatment of wastewater and sludge and offers a new, novel approach to the treatment of waste, by employing the use of electroplasma processing which utilizes aspects of ultraviolet blue light, thermal energy, cavitation, flocculation, aeration, and electrical energy. The ability to control flow rates, energy density, cavitation density, aeration density and heat generation within the system offers a new level of control over different materials for treatment of waste, contaminants or metals within the same process and apparatus.

摘要: Several circuits and methods implemented to perform signal quality estimation and control are disclosed. In an embodiment, a method of signal quality estimation includes generating a demodulated signal associated with a radio signal. Information associated with a quality of the demodulated signal is accessed. Further, a value of radio frequency signal-to-noise ratio (RF-SNR) for the radio signal based on the information is estimated. Estimating the value of RF-SNR facilitates in signal quality estimation of the radio signal and control of the demodulated signal.
