    摘要: The corrosion inhibitor blend of at least one corrosion inhibitor base (which may be a Mannich reaction product), a solvent selected from the group consisting of C1 acids and ester and salt derivatives thereof, and optionally a surfactant, has been found to be effective as a corrosion inhibitor for metals in acid media, particularly fluids containing halogen acids. The corrosion inhibitor has improved performance over similar or identical corrosion inhibitor compositions where an alcohol such as methanol is used as a solvent. Suitable, non-limiting possibilities for the solvent include, but are not necessarily limited to formic acid, formate salts, methyl formate, ethyl formate, benzyl formate, formate salts of amines, inorganic formate, and mixtures thereof.

    摘要: A test fixture for testing directional pilot valves as used in connection with turbine engine thrust reversers, and an associated method of use. In a particular embodiment, the test fixture has a base and at least one support mounted to the base to support the directional pilot valve. At least one fastener permits attachment of the directional pilot valve to the support. An adjustable actuator is also mounted to the base and is capable of stroking the directional pilot valve to simulate valve positions that may be encountered in operation of the valve. The adjustable actuator is also capable of maintaining a force, as set by a technician, against the directional pilot valve.

    摘要: Method and apparatus for logging and analyzing event flows associated with execution of a service request in a software system, such as a computer-based system comprising a multi-disc data storage array. Execution of the service request results in a plurality of events carried out by multiple layers of the software system. A global event log accumulates a corresponding plurality of entries which associates each of the events carried out by the multiple layers. An event trace facility preferably accesses the global event log to provide a sequence of the entries corresponding to the service request, such as in a tree structure or time sequence order displayed by a graphical user interface. A log manager preferably controls operation of the global event log. Entries in the global event log are preferably entered sequentially for each ongoing process, and each entry preferably includes an identifier that identifies the associated service request.

    摘要: A method for implementing security management in a storage area network by controlling access to network resources. Initially, a resource provider communicates with potential resource users, such as host computers, servers, and workstations, to allow the users to discover the resources available on the storage area network. Resource users that have not previously logged in to a particular resource supply identification information to the resource provider, which places the information in a ‘not yet approved entity’ table. The ‘not yet approved entity’ table is made available to a management station. An administrator, using the management station, then determines whether to authorize use of resources. If access to the requested resource is allowed, the resource user identification information is stored in an ‘approved entity’ table. A login is then allowed by the resource user to the selected resource. Once a resource user has initially logged in, connection information is maintained in the ‘approved entity’ table facilitating subsequent log-in attempts by the resource user.

The carbonates and/or bicarbonates should be water-soluble and may be sodium, potassium, magnesium and/or ammonium carbonates and/or bicarbonates and the like. The carbonates and/or bicarbonates are easily added in powder or other finely divided solid form.
