Abstract: According to an aspect, a display device includes: an array substrate comprising reflective electrodes arrayed in a matrix having a row-column configuration in a first direction and a second direction and a light-transmitting conductive layer at least partially overlapping any one of the reflective electrodes when viewed in a third direction orthogonal to the first direction and the second direction; a counter substrate comprising a common electrode overlapping the reflective electrodes when viewed in the third direction and a color filter including a plurality of colors; and a backlight. The array substrate is disposed between the counter substrate and the backlight. Part of the light-transmitting conductive layer protrudes between two reflective electrodes adjacently disposed in the first direction among the reflective electrodes.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, a display device includes a display area where a plurality of pixels are arrayed, a first drive circuit arranged adjacent to the display area in a first direction, the first drive circuit configured to supply a drive signal to a gate electrode included in each of switching elements, and a memory power line extending in a second direction intersecting the first direction in the display area and configured to supply a potential to a memories. An outer edge of the display area is defined by outermost edges of the pixels located on an outermost side in the display area. A first distance from the first drive circuit to the outer edge is shorter than a second distance from the first drive circuit to the memory power line.

Abstract: A display device with a touch sensor is provided and includes a substrate; pixel electrodes on the substrate; thin film transistors (TFTs) coupled to the pixel electrodes; touch sensor electrodes arranged opposite to the pixel electrodes; a gate buffer coupled to the TFTs; a first switch coupled to the gate buffer; first-L and first-H lines coupled to the first switch; a second line coupled to the gate buffer; and a drive control circuit applying a drive signal to the touch sensor electrodes, wherein a signal supplied to the TFTs is one of a pulse wave signal and a signal in which different three potentials are switched at given timings, wherein three potentials include a first potential supplied through the first-L line, a second potential supplied through the second line, and a third potential supplied through first-H line, wherein the first switch switches to couple the gate buffer with first-L line and first-H line in synchronization with the drive signal in which a first and second common potential are repeated, such that the TFT circuits are supplied with the pulse wave signal in which first and third potential are repeated, and wherein the third potential is greater than the first potential and less than the second potential.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, a drive circuit for a display device includes a plurality of pixels. Each of the pixels includes a memory, and a display element driven based on output data of the memory. The drive circuit includes a storage control circuit for storing, in the memory, the data from a signal line, and a display control circuit which provides the display element with a display signal or a non-display signal based on the data stored in the memory. The drive circuit changes a display area from a first display state to a second display state. When the drive circuit sets the display area to the second display state, the drive circuit supplies a signal which does not depend on the image data to the display element.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, a display device includes substrates with pixels, a pixel electrode in each of the pixels, a display select circuit connected to the electrode, which supplies display and non-display voltages, a power line to which first and second voltages are supplied, a memory device connected to the power line and the display select circuit, a voltage select circuit which selects a voltage to be supplied to the power line from the first and second voltages, and a clock circuit which generates a clock signal. The memory device controls the display select circuit using the first and second voltages, and the first voltage select circuit selects the first or second voltages in synchronism with the clock signal.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, a display device includes a pixel electrode and a memory in each of pixels, a common electrode, a first drive circuit which supplies a digital signal, a second drive circuit which supplies an AC common signal to the common electrode, a storage control circuit which stores the digital signal in the memory in a storage period, and a select control circuit which selectively supplies, in a display period, to the pixel electrode, one of a display signal and a non-display signal. A frequency of the common signal in the storage period is a first frequency. The frequency of the common signal in the display period is a second frequency. The first frequency is higher than the second frequency.
