摘要: A data acquisition system which includes data generating and processing units (1a, 1b, 1c), each of which includes a respective data source (3a1, 3a2, 3b1, 3c1) which serves to generate data. The data each time generated is processed by means of associated data processing means (2a, 2b, 2c 11a1, 11a2, 12a1, 12a2, 13a1, 13a2) in such a manner that each time a digital data word which comprises at least two bits is presented for output. The output of the digital data words takes place in synchronous-parallel fashion in dependence on first control signals (4, 5). Shift registers (6a, 6b, 6c) which are coupled to one another so as to form a chain propagate the digital data words in synchronous-parallel fashion in dependence on second control signals (7, 8) and are coupled to a respective associated data generating and processing unit (1a, 1b, 1c).

摘要: The invention provides a synthetic jet eductor pump that includes a synthetic jet actuator coupled to a fluid conduit. The synthetic jet actuator may include a vibratable membrane, an actuating portion that vibrates the vibratable membrane, a pump chamber coupled to the vibratable membrane, and a pump conduit in fluid communication with the pump chamber such that vibration of the membrane draws fluid into and ejects fluid from the pump conduit to create a net momentum of fluid in a predetermined direction. The fluid conduit may include a jet receiving portion between intake and ejection portions thereof, wherein the jet receiving portion is in fluid communication with the pump conduit. The net momentum of fluid created by the synthetic jet actuator may be communicated to the fluid conduit at the jet receiving portion to create fluid flow in the fluid conduit from the intake portion to the ejection portion.

摘要: The invention provides a device and system for measuring core (11) body temperature, comprising two pairs of temperature sensors (8-1a, 8-1b, 8-2a, 8-2b), with a structure (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7) therebetween, and a heat flux modulator (9) for changing the heat flux through one pair (8-1a, 8-1b) more than the heat flux through the other pair (8-2a, 8-2b). By measuring the temperatures for the two pairs of temperature sensors, the core (11) body temperature may be derived. This device allows more design freedom, and it is easier to manufacture and gives a more accurate core temperature.

摘要: The invention relates to the area of rehabilitation for patients with motor disabilities, especially for hemiplegic patients. With the present invention a long term, e.g. day and night, patient activity monitoring can be established in a home environment. A core idea of the invention is to evaluate the functional use of a limb by determining the synchronicity of the patient's movements depending on the movement's cyclicity. With this approach a reliable assessment of limb usage can be made based on the daily living activities of the patient. With the present invention the progress of rehabilitation can be monitored and guidance can be provided to therapists and patients about the state of the rehabilitation process. It further makes them aware of a lack of limb usage.

摘要: A device to carry out a bioelectrical interaction with an individual by means of electrodes 29, 29a whereby an on-demand verification of the integrity of the electrical contact of the electrodes is implemented. The device 20 comprises a control unit 22 arranged to determine an occurrence of the predefined event related to a quality of a measured signal. In case the predetermined event is detected, the control unit 22 actuates the testing means 24. The testing means is arranged to generate the test signals, I1, 12 and to apply them via a coupling circuit 23, 23a to the electrodes. In case it is desired that cumulative information about the contact integrity is obtained, is it sufficient to apply a single test signal per electrode. In case it is required to determine which of the electrodes has lost its contact, a sequence of test signals is generated by the sequencer 24b. The response signal from the electrodes 29, 29a is forwarded to the input filter 26, which is preferably also used for a normal signal analysis. The signal from the input filter 26 is directed via the input impedance 25, 25a to the input amplifier 28. The amplified response signal is forwarded to the signal processing means 30 which is arranged to analyze the response signal. Preferably, an amplitude analysis is done. The signal from the signal processing means 30 is supplied to the analog-to-digital converter (ADC) 32 after which a digital processing of the response signal is carried out by means of a further processing unit 34. In case the further processing unit 34 determines that the integrity of the contact is below the allowable level, the lead-off indicator 36 is actuated.
