The method comprises initially transmitting the broadcast physical layer packet according to a fixed transmission format for at least one first slot interval and retransmitting the broadcast physical layer packet for at least one second slot interval using a variable transmission format different from the transmission format used in the first slot interval.

摘要： An apparatus and method transmits a packet data symbol in a high-rate packet data (HRPD) mobile communication system for broadcasting service. A transmission processor generates a modulated symbol by encoding, interleaving and modulating a physical layer packet to be transmitted, and arranges the modulated symbol in a data tone. A tone inserter inserts a guard tone and a pilot tone into the data tone. A tone power allocator sets a different pilot-to-data tone power ratio according to a position of a slot, in which the packet data symbol is included, and allocates power according to the pilot-to-data tone power ratio. A transmitter transmits the packet data symbol.

摘要： A method of providing state information of a mobile station in a mobile communication system which provides a data service between the mobile station and a base station and transmits information on a maximum data rate available for the mobile station and information on the amount of data stored in a buffer of the mobile station in a reverse direction, such that the base station determines a reverse data rate of the mobile station based on channel state information transmitted in the reverse direction. The mobile station determines information on the amount of data stored in its buffer based on information transmitted from the base station. The mobile station quantizes the determined information on the amount of data stored in the buffer, and transmits the quantized information to the base station.

摘要： A transmit diversity apparatus and method are provided for adaptively providing a transmit diversity gain or a beamforming gain depending on changes in a radio channel undergoing multipath fading in a mobile communication system using multiple antennas. A transmitter forms as many fixed beams as the number of transmit antennas and a receiver selects a fixed beam having relatively high power among received fixed beams or linearly combines the received fixed beams. This common eigen space transmit diversity scheme improves the link performance between the transmitter and the receiver.

A base station determines a reference signal pattern comprising at least one resource element, generates a bitmap indicator indicating whether zero transmission power is assigned to the at least one resource element of the reference signal pattern, and transmits the reference signal pattern and the bitmap indicator to a terminal. The terminal receives the reference signal pattern and the bitmap indicator, and processes a reference signal extracted according to the reference signal pattern and the bitmap indicator.

摘要： An apparatus and method for transmitting/receiving data in a mobile communication system using multiple antennas are provided. A receiver estimates a fading channel of received data, selects a weight set relative to a maximum data transmission rate from at least one weight set with elements of a plurality of orthogonal weight vectors, and transmits feedback information including the selected weight set and channel-by-channel state information to a transmitter. The transmitter demultiplexes data to be transmitted on a basis of the feedback information into at least one sub-data stream, multiplies each sub-data stream by an associated weight, and transmits the data.
