摘要: A solution is presented to keep track of the URLs that have been visited within an HTML file, identify the location or exit point of the last line that was displayed on a screen in a multi-screen HTML file, and return to the exact exit point location upon reentry to the web page by computing which section of the HTML file to display on the screen, and then displaying this section. The identification of whether a web page has changed after it has been visited by a user is also presented. A cyclic redundancy check is performed, comparing the current cyclic redundancy number with the last cyclic redundancy number obtained when the screen of exited multi-screen HTML file was last visited. If the web page has changed, the user has the option of viewing the web page at the top screen or going to the screen that contains the last exit position of the HTML file that was previously viewed.

摘要: An exemplary embodiment of the invention relates to a method, system, and storage medium for providing search and reference functions for a messaging system. The method comprises receiving a request to search a data archive for reference information relating to at least one keyword selected by a messaging system user while the messaging system user is actively engaged in composing a message or a response to a message. The keyword is selected from the body of text contained in the message. The method further includes searching the data archive and, if a reference is found, presenting the reference to the messaging system user within the message. The data archive includes information gathered from the messaging system user's message folder and at least one of a local data storage system, and a shared online repository. Embodiments of the invention also include a system and a storage medium.

摘要: A secure card adapter provides for writing of highly secure, single transaction information on a machine-readable medium of a card structure in accordance with a format that may be downloaded from an external data source. The card structure may be, for example, an existing access authorization card or an existing credit card containing account-specific information which can be read and stored in memory of the secure card adapter. Once such account-specific information is read from an existing access authorization or credit card, secure transaction information can be written, together with the account specific information in accordance with the downloaded format information on another card structure to provide a universal access authorization and/or credit card. Thus the secure card adapter provides an enhanced degree of security through an existing or transitional communication infrastructure.

摘要: The present invention discloses a method and apparatus for controlling the presentation of submissions within a real-time communication session by sequentially organizing and displaying messages immediately followed by their corresponding responses for allowing participants within the session to easily view, follow and participate within such session. Sequential tags are associated with each submission displayed within the session, whereby these tags are used to sequentially sort the messages along with their corresponding responses. Time stamps associated with each message and response may further be used for sequentially sorting such messages along with their corresponding responses. These sequentially sorted messages and corresponding responses are viewed in a modified display window, optionally along with the unmodified display window of the real-time communication session, on a display screen. This modified display window may be continually refreshed.

摘要: A method and flash memory device employing the method includes a flash memory device having a logic routine saved on the flash memory being a computer readable medium. The flash memory device generates a plurality of memory inputs and outputs. The logic routine determines a memory input and/or memory output operation, and incrementally counts memory inputs and memory outputs using a counter function of the logic routine. The logic routine determines the total number of the plurality of memory inputs and outputs using the counter function. Additionally, the logic routine generates an alert signal when the total number of the memory inputs and outputs exceeds a predetermined value programmed in the logic routine.

摘要: Methods, systems and program storage devices for generating search engine search results. Online files relevant to a requested search query are located by a search engine, while simultaneously previously accessed offline files residing on a client computer are located using the same search query. The search engine retrieves the offline files from the client computer and combines such offline files with the locate online files in a single search result overview. The listing of files within the combined search results are ranked according to relevancy to the search query using a search engine scoring algorithm, whereby the offline files within the combined search results are preferably brought to a user's attention to indicate that such files reside on the client computer.

摘要: A system and method for collecting and storing communications preferences of recipients and delivering communications to a recipient in accordance with the recipient's preferences is disclosed herein. Preferably, the communications preferences consist of at least one mail formatting preference and at least one sending preference. The system automatically formats a message in accordance with the intended recipient's communications preferences stored in a profile table. In an alternative embodiment, the system provides for a prompting function that can alter the communications preferences in the event that a particular preference must be changed. This prompting function is also useful if recipient does not have a corresponding profile in the profile table.
