摘要： The present invention relates generally to a new structure and a method for reducing the cost of producing known good die (KGD). More particularly, the invention encompasses a structure and a method that uses a substrate having solder wettable pads, a chip with attached solder balls, and a thin non-conductive interposer that is assembled between the chip and the substrate. The interposer reduces the cross section of the solder connections from the chip to the substrate where the solder passes through (the holes in) the interposer. This reduced cross-sectional area of the solder connection creates a weak point which allows the chip to be easily sheared off of the substrate after a burn-in and test process. The preferred chips for this invention are flip chips.

摘要： A system, operable on a plurality of different computer operating systems, for providing web browser access to the operating system desktop having icons displayed on a screen thereof, wherein the desktop icons provide links to executable programs of and information displayable by the operating system. The process comprises first determining, for each icon to be accessed, an executable program linked to the icon, a data file used by the program, and the location of the program and data file. Then the process comprises constructing a web page of the accessed icons and linked programs and data file by assigning a HTML tag to the program and data file of each icon. The HTML tag may include an optional parameter for use by the executable program. The web page is viewable on a web browser such that the HTML tags are displayed on the web page and executable by the web browser to execute the programs on the operating system. The process includes the step of periodically repeating the steps to update the web page by determining any additional icons to be accessed and assigning a HTML tag to the program and data file of each additional icon.

摘要： The present invention discloses a method and apparatus for correctly positioning the text of a hypertext markup language (html) file on a display screen linked to a computer such that there are no partial lines of text displayed and without the re-display of text that was displayed on a previous screen. By correctly positioning the text on the display screen, even when the user scrolls the text backwards and forwards, only entire lines of text are displayed which makes reading the text on the screen much more user friendly. By locating the html tags within the html source file, the number of lines of text in the file are determined and subsequently assigned to a screen row within the display screen such that only entire lines of text are displayable.

摘要： A method and system for printing web pages from an intra- or internet source with a client computer. The client computer is capable of accessing and viewing a web page from an intra- or internet source and has access to a program storage. The program storage device includes (i) an HTML source file containing a list of printable web pages and (ii) a program of instructions executable by the computer at a predetermined, modifiable time to print web pages from the intra- or internet source with the client computer. The program selects one or more of the printable web pages from the HTML source file, accesses the web pages selected from the HTML source file, and prints the accessed web pages. The printable web pages may be accessed on different levels of hierarchy in HTML files. The storage device also contains a plurality of different lists of printable web pages and a menu of each of the lists, whereby the method includes selecting from the menu a desired list and providing an HTML source file containing the desired list of printable web pages.

摘要： A solution is presented to keep track of the URLs that have been visited within an HTML file, identify the location or exit point of the last line that was displayed on a screen in a multi-screen HTML file, and return to the exact exit point location upon reentry to the web page by computing which section of the HTML file to display on the screen, and then displaying this section. The identification of whether a web page has changed after it has been visited by a user is also presented. A cyclic redundancy check is performed, comparing the current cyclic redundancy number with the last cyclic redundancy number obtained when the screen of exited multi-screen HTML file was last visited. If the web page has changed, the user has the option of viewing the web page at the top screen or going to the screen that contains the last exit position of the HTML file that was previously viewed.
