摘要： A system includes a high speed reciprocating mold plate patty-forming machine and a downstream patty presser. The high speed patty forming machine provides patties at a high production speed onto an output conveyor portion. The patty presser includes an upper conveyor having an upper endless belt. The upper conveyor is located above the output conveyor, wherein facing belt surfaces of the upper and lower endless belts define a path between the upper and lower conveyors. The upper conveyor has a tilted section such that a first clearance at an input to the path is equal to or greater than a thickness of the patties and a second clearance at an outlet of the inlet length is less than a thickness of the patties at the input of the path. A shuttle conveyor is arranged at the output of the path and delivers patties to an indexing packaging machine.

摘要： An uninterruptible power supply (UPS) system includes a first UPS module that has a first power source, a second power source and a controller operable to selectively connect the first or second power source to a load. A second UPS module is connected in parallel with the first UPS module. The second UPS module also includes a first power source, a second power source and a controller operable to selectively connect the first or second power source to a load. The controller of the first UPS module gradually transfers power from the first power source of the first UPS module to the first power source of the second UPS module to detect the presence of the first power source of the second UPS module.

摘要： Apparatus and methods of modify a reciprocating mold plate patty-forming machine such that a mold plate for a smaller machine can be fit into a larger forming machine. A tooling set for the modification includes a dedicated drawbar configured to mount the smaller mold plate and modified wider spacers to closely meet the smaller mold plate within the forming machine. An adapter system selectively mounts either a first mold plate having a first set of keyholes or a second mold plate having a second set of keyholes, different than the first set of keyholes to a single reciprocating mold plate patty-forming machine. The adapter system can include first and second sets of adapters and a drawbar having provision for connection at opposite ends to driving rods of the drive system. The first set of adapters have keys corresponding to the first set of keyholes, and the second set of adapters having keys corresponding to the second set of keyholes, the first and second set of adapters being selectively attached to the drawbar.

Mold cover lift rods are cylindrical and utilize annular seals on a top skin of the mechanical compartment. The machine comprises removable floor panels and has an easily accessible swing out electrical enclosure. The machine uses modular I/O blocks for the control solenoids, which are signal connected to a bus block. The bus block communicates between machine control and the solenoids with a single serial cable.

The article is formed from a porous substrate formed from an absorbent fibrous matrix. A disinfecting and sanitizing agent is formed as a liquid composition that is absorbed into the substrate. The composition is formulated from an organic solvent present in a concentration of about 10 percent to 40 percent by weight, a surfactant present in a concentration of about 0.5 percent to 20 percent by weight, one or more pathogen killing agents present in a concentration of about 0.255 percent to 10.5 percent by weight, an emollient present in a concentration of about 0.05 percent to 3.0 percent by weight, and water present in a concentration of about 50.0 percent to 89.9 percent by weight. Application of the article provides an abrasive disinfecting and sanitizing action by a scrubbing action on the surface of the object to disinfected and sanitized.

摘要： A method of preparing a plasticised particulate polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) composition is provided, comprising: mixing, in a mixer, at a mixer speed and for a time sufficient that the mixture attains a temperature of at least 50° C.: particulate PVA resin in an amount from 80% to 90% by weight of the mixture; and plasticiser in an amount from 10% to 20% by weight of the mixture, wherein at least a portion of the plasticiser is water; monitoring the apparent viscosity of the mixture during mixing and continuing mixing until the apparent viscosity of the mixture has peaked to a maximum and dropped off to a substantially constant level, thereby to obtain a plasticised particulate mixture having a moisture content in the range from 7% to 14%; preferably adding an anti-caking agent in an amount from 0.05% to 0.5% by weight of the plasticised particulate mixture, and continuing mixing until the anti-caking agent is blended to the plasticised particulate mixture; and stopping mixing, and removing the mixture from the mixer, wherein the mixture temperature is kept below 100° C. at all times during mixing. The properties of the plasticised particulate composition are such that it can be processed, by extrusion and blowing, to a film having advantageous characteristics in terms of structure and properties. Accordingly, also provided is a PVA film characterised in that, when viewed using polarising light microscopy, it has a nonuniform texture consisting of distinct short range areas, e.g. 10 to 500 micrometers, each short range area showing anisotropic orientation within its area, each short range area being oriented isotropically.
