Abstract: The invention relates to a construction arrangement of an elevator, comprising a hoistway formed in a building, the hoistway comprising at least one hoistway opening leading in horizontal direction out from the hoistway, the opening being delimited by a lower edge structure and an upper edge structure; and a load in the hoistway lower than said opening; and a hoisting arrangement for hoisting said load, wherein said hoisting arrangement comprises a support structure mounted higher than said load; and a hoisting device; and at least one flexible tension member connected or at least connectable to said load; wherein the at least one flexible tension member is movable with said hoisting device in particular for thereby transmitting a hoisting force to said load to be hoisted. Said support structure comprises an anchoring beam structure comprising a lower end engaging the lower edge structure, and an upper end engaging the upper edge structure; and a support beam structure connected to the anchoring beam structure and protruding from the anchoring beam structure into the hoistway; and wherein said at least one flexible tension member hangs in the hoistway supported by the support beam structure. The invention also relates to a method implementing the construction arrangement.

Abstract: The self-climbing elevator machine room comprises two decks positioned upon each other. Each deck comprises guide means supporting the deck movably on guide rails and locking means locking and unlocking the deck to the guide rails and/or to guide rail fixing means. Lifting means move the two decks along the guide rails in relation to each other. At least one power source provides power to the lifting means. The elevator machine room climbs stepwise along the guide rails by alternatingly locking and unlocking the lower deck and the upper deck to the guide rails and/or to the guide rail fixing means and thereafter raising the unlocked deck.

The invention relates to an arrangement and a method implementing the movable machine room.

Abstract: An elevator construction arrangement comprises: a first hoistway in a building, a first elevator car, a first counterweight, car guide rails for guiding the first car, and counterweight guide rails for guiding the first counterweight, a first elevator hoisting machine and a first suspension roping arranged to suspend the first elevator car and the first counterweight during construction time use, a protection deck mounted within the first hoistway during a first elevator installation in a bottom section of the first hoistway, a hoist device for hoisting a working platform, the hoist device preferably comprises a man riding hoist attachable to the first car or to an installation platform, and a hoist rope attachable to the first car or the installation platform and movable with the hoist device, and a first hoisting point configured to support the working platform via the hoist device and the hoist rope. During a first elevator installation in the bottom section of the first hoistway the first hoisting point is configured to be mounted to the protection deck and the working platform guided on the car guide rails is configured to be used as an installation platform in the bottom section of the first hoistway, and after the first elevator installation, the first car is in construction time use configured to be moved in the bottom section of the first hoistway by the first elevator hoisting machine which is installed at a top of the bottom section of the first hoistway and supported by the car guide rail, the first elevator hoisting machine suspending the first car and the first counterweight together with the first suspension roping, while the first hoisting point and the hoist device are removed from the first hoistway.
