The network device includes an input screen display unit configured to display an input screen in response to reception of the search request signal; and a search request response unit configured to return, when the notification information is input through the input screen, the response signal including the unique information for the network device by attaching the notification information thereto.
Abstract:
A device information providing system includes a main electronic device including: a main-side external communication unit configured to communicate with an information processing device; a main-side inter-device communication unit configured to communicate with a sub-electronic device; a main-side HTTP server configured to provide a main-side page including a Web page of the main electronic device; and a main-side communication control unit configured to: (i) disconnect a main-side normal connection when a connection to a sub-side switching URL is requested by the information processing device while the main-side normal connection is established, and (ii) establish a main-side transfer connection. The sub-electronic device includes: the sub-side inter-device communication unit configured to communicate with the main-side inter-device communication unit and the sub-side HTTP server configured to provide a sub-side page to which the sub-side switching URL used to switch the connection assigned, the sub-side page including a Web page of the sub-electronic device.
Abstract:
Provided are a monitoring system, a monitoring method, and a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing a monitoring program whereby it is possible to improve the stability of remote management of an image forming device by means of a remote management system. A monitoring system according to one embodiment is characterized by: acquiring information from a remote management system which remotely manages an image forming device; detecting a failure of the remote management system by analyzing the acquired information; and notifying about the failure of the remote management system which has been detected.
Abstract:
A tenant management system includes an application management portion and a server resource management portion. The application management portion terminates a request from a user at a tenant specific application that is an application prepared for a tenant in a solution built on a public cloud. The server resource management portion provisions resource of a web server that realizes the tenant specific application. When a value that is obtained by multiplying a number of users who are registered in association with a particular tenant specific application for a particular tenant, by an amount of resource that is assumed to be consumed when one user uses the particular tenant specific application, has exceeded a current amount of resource of the particular tenant specific application for the particular tenant, the server resource management portion additionally provisions a particular amount of resource of the particular tenant specific application for the particular tenant.
Abstract:
The remote maintenance server includes a processor that operates as a connection inquiry receiving unit that receives an inquiry from the one or more image forming apparatuses, the inquiry inquiring which connection server to connect, a connection destination selecting unit that selects a connection server as a connection destination in response to the inquiry with reference to the connection management table, the connection destination being a connection server having a smaller number of connections, and a connection information reply sending unit that sends, in reply, connection information to an image forming apparatus, which has sent the inquiry, the connection information being an IP address or FQDN of the connection server selected by the connection destination selecting unit.
Abstract:
A license management server manages a license to perform a service of remote maintenance related to one or more image forming apparatuses installed in a customer's site. The maintenance server includes a maintenance unit and a history management unit. If the license management server notified of expiration of an expiration date of the license defined by a contract, the maintenance unit stores history information acquired from the one or more image forming apparatuses corresponding to the expired license into a storage unit, and stops the service. If the license management server notified of grant of the license by a re-contract, the history management unit obtains the history information about the one or more image forming apparatuses corresponding to the granted license from the storage unit, and passes the obtained history information to the maintenance unit. By using the passed history information, the maintenance unit resumes the service.
Abstract:
A license management system includes an image forming apparatus and a license management server. The license management server includes a group management database, a license management database, a time zone information table, a group management unit, and a license management unit. The group management database stores information indicating an organization to which the license is assigned. The information relates to a group to which the image forming apparatus belongs. The license management database stores information on the license for the group. The time zone information table describes information on a working hour in a time zone where the group is present. When the one working hour ends, the license management unit that re-assigns the license from the group in the ended working hour to the group in another working hour based on the time zone information table, the license management database, and a current time.

Abstract:
An image forming apparatus stores a setting values set including core data independent of a model of the image forming apparatus and non-core data not included in the core data; writes the core data on another image forming apparatus without change, and if the model of the image forming apparatus is the same as the model of the another image forming apparatus, writes the non-core data on the another image forming apparatus without change, while if the model of the image forming apparatus is not the same as the model of the another image forming apparatus, writes the non-core data including a setting value of a function setting in the non core-data that is the same as the function setting in the another image forming apparatus on the another image forming apparatus.
Abstract:
An electronic apparatus includes: an operation panel configured to display a screen for a user and receive an operation by the user; a display control unit configured to control display of a screen on the operation panel; and an agent unit configured to control timings of starting and cancelling display of a message screen based on message data received from a remote maintenance server on a maintenance service provider side. The agent unit is further configured to generate reading confirmation data that indicates that a user read the message screen and transmit the reading confirmation data to the remote maintenance server if the operation panel receives an operation by the user for cancelling display of the message screen while the message screen is displayed on the operation panel.
