摘要: An engine output control apparatus is used on a vehicle having an engine driven by a drive-by-wire system and includes a device for setting a first target engine control amount in accordance with an amount of operation of a manually operated engine control member; a device for detecting wheel slippage and for setting a second target engine control amount at which wheel slippage is reduced when wheel slippage exceeds a predetermined value; a device for setting a third target engine control amount at which constant-speed running of the vehicle is maintained when a manually operated constant-speed control member is actuated; and a selecting device for selecting one of the first, second, and third target engine control amounts. The selection made by the selecting device is based upon a determination of whether wheel slippage has exceeded a predetermined value and whether the manually operated constant-speed control member has been actuated. A setting device is provided for setting the engine output control amount based upon the target engine control amount selected by the selecting device.

摘要: An air-to-fuel ratio control system optimally controls an air-to-fuel ratio of an internal combustion engine according to various engine operating conditions, and aims at assuring quick air-to-fuel ratio control and preventing erroneous operation of the engine. With this control system, a corrective amount of fuel to be supplied is determined according to a deviation .DELTA.(A/F) of a measured air-to-fuel ratio (A/F).sub.i and a target air-to-fuel ration (A/F).sub.OBJ. This corrective amount of the fuel is kept in an allowable range defined by limits K.sub.LMIN and K.sub.LMAX, or K.sub.RMIN and K.sub.RMAX. Therefore, the engine is supplied with the fuel which is controlled according to a target fuel amount LT.sub.INJ determined by the correct fuel amount. The control system is responsive to various engine operating conditions, and protects the engine against troubles, damage and interruption, and prevents deterioration of exhaust gases.

摘要: A failure diagnostic apparatus in an engine intake system is provided comprising a throttle valve arranged in an intake path of the engine, a detecting unit detecting an opening of the throttle valve, a detecting unit detecting an air amount passing through the intake pipe, a detecting unit detecting an output torque of the engine, an estimating unit estimating an air amount passing through the throttle valve on the basis of the opening of the throttle valve, an estimating unit estimating an air amount on the basis of the output torque, a correction unit adding time delay correction to the output data of the air amounts, and a failure judging circuitry comparing the three air amount provided by the respective unit, thereby making a judgement of a failure on any one of the detecting units.

摘要: An engine controlling apparatus includes a setting unit that sets a demand torque to an engine, a detection unit that detects a fluctuation of an external load, and a correction unit that corrects the demand torque. The apparatus includes a target torque calculation unit that calculates a target torque based on the demand torque, a control unit that controls an amount of air to be introduced into the engine so that an output torque may come close to the target torque, and an ignition timing detection unit that detects an ignition timing of the engine.The correction unit adds a torque increment for coping with a fluctuation of the external load to the demand torque to determine an increment correction demand torque and increases or decreases the increment correction demand torque in response to a displacement amount of the ignition timing from a predetermined reference value.

摘要: A controller of an internal combustion engine includes: a purge controller, operable to control a purge amount of the vaporized fuel purged to an air intake system; an exhaust air-fuel ratio detector; an air-fuel ratio feedback controller; a period determiner, operable to determine whether it is an estimation enabling period; and an alcohol concentration estimator, operable to estimate the alcohol concentration. When the purge of the vaporized fuel is cut during the estimation enabling period, the purge controller: performs control so that the purge is cut with a large degree of tailing, in an operation region where a load of the internal combustion engine is high and a rotation speed is high; and performs control so that the purge is cut with a smaller degree of tailing than the large degree of tailing, in an operation region where the load of the internal combustion engine is low and the rotation speed is low.

摘要: A controller of an engine that can use a blended fuel with alcohol blended therein, the controller includes: an ignition timing controller, operable to control an ignition timing of the engine; an exhaust air-fuel ratio detector, operable to detect an exhaust air-fuel ratio of the engine; a concentration detector, operable to detect concentration of the alcohol in the blended fuel; an operation state detector, operable to detect an operation state of the engine; and a corrector, when the operation state which is detected by the operation state detector is a high-speed, high-load operation state, as the concentration of the alcohol which is detected by the concentration detector is higher, operable to control an injection amount which is injected from a fuel injection valve to correct a target equivalence ratio more in a lean direction, and operable to correct the ignition timing which is controlled by the ignition timing controller more to a spark advance side.
