    摘要: In a photon pair generating apparatus for generating a pair of correlated photons by hyper-parametric scattering, a light-shaping section irradiates an optical resonator with two beams of light of equal wavelength from different directions, and the optical resonator is configured to emit two correlated photons of different wavelengths in one direction as a pair of correlated photons. This makes it possible to provide a photon pair generating apparatus capable of achieving generation of a pair of correlated photons by a simpler configuration.

    摘要: The present invention enables a comprehensive evaluation from both of data read from a disk and a servo signal of a servo controller. The present invention provides a semiconductor integrated circuit mountable to a disk recording and reproducing drive, which comprises a signal processor of an RF signal read from a pickup, a servo controller responsive to a servo error signal read from the pickup, a memory controller, and an external interface. The memory controller is supplied with read data and a servo signal and stores the read data and the servo signal in a buffer memory according to a time division process. The read data and the servo signal stored in the buffer memory can be transferred to an external device via the external interface by the memory controller.

    摘要: A composite photonic structure element comprises a photonic crystal and multilayer films. The photonic crystal is formed by alternately laminating a plurality of sets of an active layer having a nonlinear effect for converting a fundamental wave into a second harmonic and an inactive layer having no nonlinear effect, and is constructed such that the energy of the fundamental wave coincides with a photonic bandgap end. Each of the multilayer films is formed by laminating a plurality of sets of two kinds of thin films having different refractive indexes and reflects the fundamental wave. The multilayer films are connected to both ends of the photonic crystal. The fundamental wave enters one of end faces and is reciprocally reflected between resonators having the multilayer films, so that the intensity of the fundamental wave is enhanced within the photonic crystal. The fundamental wave is converted into a second harmonic in the active layer, and the second harmonic is taken out from the other end face.

The device further includes a LCD fit into the front face of the casing 10. Outwardly projecting bulges are respectively formed at both sides of the rear face of the casing where fingers of the user gripping the casing 10 placed. Since the fingers and palms are naturally flexed to fit to the dome-like bulges 42L, 42R, the portable electronic device 100 fits comfortably in the user's hands. The operability is hard to be degraded even if the device is vibrated strongly during a game play with the device.

    摘要: A disk accommodating device for accommodating a disk includes a housing on which an opening portion for allowing the disk to be accommodated into a disk accommodating section therethrough is formed, and a lid member for closing up the opening portion. The housing has a support portion for supporting a one-end side of the lid member for pivotal motion such that the other end side of the lid member may move toward and away from the housing. The disk accommodating section has an upright piece attached for pivotal motion on the side opposite to the side thereof on which the support portion is provided such that the upright piece engages at one end thereof with the disk accommodating section and at the other end thereof with the lid member so as to be erected uprightly from the disk accommodating section in response to pivotal motion of the lid member. The upright piece has a raising up portion provided thereon for raising up, when the lid member is pivoted in a direction in which the lid member is spaced away from the housing, the disk accommodated in the disk accommodating section from the disk accommodating section.
