摘要: The opposite side faces of a seat face of a bicycle saddle or seat on which a driver is to be seated expand rearward. The expanded, side faces also expand downward to form a pair of left and right knee grip portions such that the knee grip portions may be held between the inner sides of the knees and/or the inner parts of the thighs of the driver. While the bicycle is moving, the driver can support the bicycle at the handle bar, the pedals and the knee grip portions. Therefore, the driver can improve the stability of the bicycle and maintain a good posture. Further, if the surface area of the knee grip portions is increased, then the knee grip portions can be held readily between the inner sides of the knees and the inner parts of the thighs. Accordingly, a wide range of beneficial operating positions is provided for the aggressive use of the bicycle in applications such as mountain bike racing.

摘要: An apparatus controlling system capable of providing services such as video services and camera control services via a network, with a simple structure and high efficiency. Upon request from a client, a server for providing video services with camera control services provides a client with limited services (low quality trial services) during the initial stage immediately after connection, in accordance with a connection identifier issued to the client, and upon reception of the connection identifier via a route different from the route via which the services are provided, the server provides the client with limitation relaxed (or released) high quality services in accordance with the returned connection identifier.

摘要: Methods and apparatus are disclosed for performing charged-particle-beam (CPB) microlithography, in which states of contamination of any of various components in the CPB column are monitored. From data concerning state(s) of contamination of one or more components, information is provided regarding when system cleaning is required (i.e., cleaning intervals). Thus, problems such as degradation of resolution and increased beam deflection distortion over time are avoided, and consistently more accurate pattern transfers are performed. Detection of contaminants on selected component(s) can be performed by mass analysis of contaminant molecules released from the component(s) during irradiation of the component(s) with the charged particle beam. Mass analysis data are routed to a control computer, which analyzes a correlation between the types and amounts of molecules of a specific contaminant and detected beam-position variance arising from accumulated contaminant. From the correlation, the control computer predicts an optimal schedule for performing maintenance activities of the component(s), such as cleaning or component replacement.

摘要: A drilling method and a drilling apparatus of a hard brittle material in which a core drill is used for abrasive grinding of high accuracy and high durability. Therefore, the structure of this invention comprises: a tubular core drill; a collet chuck for holding the core drill, including a chuck main body of an integral shape which is hollow, a seal joint provided on the chuck at the inlet side of the lubricant, a slit portion of a pin vise type for holding the core drill, which slit portion is provided on the chuck at the outlet side of the lubricant, and a seal portion provided axially inside of the slit portion, which seal portion has an inner diameter substantially equal to an outer diameter of the core drill applied to the seal portion, and a threaded portion formed on the outer periphery of a portion further axially inside of the seal portion, so that after inserting the core drill into the seal portion, a fastening nut is engaged with and tightened on the threaded portion to thereby seal and fix the core drill, and that the lubricant at a high pressure can be supplied into a central space of the core drill; and a structure for delivering the lubricant through the inner passage of the core drill.

摘要: A nozzle testing device includes: a two-dimensional image sensor to capture an image of a pattern formed on a recording object by discharging ink from a nozzle row while moving the nozzle row and the recording object relative to each other in a direction orthogonal to the nozzle row; a light source unit provided such that regularly reflected light by the pattern forms a regular reflection area in the image of the pattern captured by the two-dimensional image sensor; and a detection unit to analyze the image to detect discharge failure of the nozzles. The regular reflection area is formed in the image such that a dimension in a direction corresponding to the direction of relative movement between the nozzle row and the recording object is greater than a dimension in a direction orthogonal to the direction corresponding to the direction of relative movement in the image.
