摘要: Embodiments of the disclosure relate to an optical fiber cable. The optical fiber cable includes a cable jacket having an inner jacket surface and an outer jacket surface. The outer jacket surface is an outermost surface of the optical fiber cable, and the inner jacket surface defines an internal jacket bore. The optical fiber cable also includes at least one subunit disposed within the internal jacket bore. Each of the at least one subunit includes a foamed tube having an inner subunit surface and an outer subunit surface. The inner subunit surface defines a central subunit bore. Each of the at least one subunit also includes a stack of at least two optical fiber ribbons disposed in the central subunit bore of the foamed tube. Each of the at least two optical fiber ribbons comprising at least two optical fibers. The stack occupies from 85%-95% of a cross-sectional area of the central subunit bore such that the central subunit bore provides from 5% to 15% of free space around the stack along at least a portion of a length of the foamed tube.

摘要: An optical fiber cable includes a central tube having a first inner and a first outer surface. The first inner surface defines a bore along a longitudinal axis of the cable. Optical fibers are disposed within the bore of the central tube. A cable jacket is disposed around the central tube. The cable jacket has a second inner and a second outer surface defining a first thickness. A skin layer is disposed around the cable jacket. The skin layer has a third inner and a third outer surface defining a second thickness that is 100 μm or less. The cable jacket material is different from the skin layer material, and the third outer surface defines the outermost surface of the optical fiber cable. Access sections made of the second material extend from the skin layer into the first thickness of the cable jacket.

摘要: A fibre optic cable (500, 700, 1420) comprises one or more fibre units (502, 1302). Each fibre unit comprises two or more optical fibres (506, 1306) embedded in a solid resin material (520, 1320) to form a coated fibre bundle and an extruded polymer sheath (524, 1324). The sheath (524, 1324) of each fibre unit is primarily polybutylene terephthalate (PBT), with a friction reducing additive such as polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS). The additive may be polythene based and/or polyacrylate based. The fibre unit may be applied in a pullback cable (500, 800, 1100), as a cable for pulling or pushing or as a blown fibre cable (502, 1302).

摘要: An encapsulated tubular cable with a colorized identification strap includes armored protection ducts and an encapsulation protection layer. A hollow passage is formed in the center of the duct body after each armored protection duct is formed. A wire cable, an optical fiber, or an oil duct is placed in the hollow passage. The encapsulation protection layer wraps the armored protection ducts. A plurality of armored protection ducts are arranged in one encapsulated protection layer. A peripheral edge of each armored protection duct is correspondingly provided with at least one colorized identification strap group. The encapsulation protection layer improves the corrosion resistance of the encapsulated duct cable; the colorized identification straps are provided at the thinnest positions of the encapsulation protection layer to facilitate tearing and encapsulation; and each colorized identification strap has a respective color identifier, which is convenient for distinguishing objects in each hollow passage during use.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to a high-temperature resistant and small-diameter optical cable and a preparation method thereof. The high-temperature resistant and small-diameter optical cable is prepared by using acrylate as a coating material, using PHB/PET liquid crystal copolyester as an outer protective layer material and using an extrusion process. Compared to traditional optical cables, the high-temperature resistant and small-diameter optical cable is small in diameter, low in loss, good in microbending property, excellent in mechanical property, long in one-time finished length (10 kilometers (km)˜26 km), long in storage time, simple in preparation process, and wide in operating temperature range.
