摘要: A double loop transmission system is provided in which not only bypass routes but also terminals are connected with a pair of transmission control units of each loop. In this manner, the transfer of a message is controlled by both the information concerning whether the smaller loop formed by a pair of the adjacent transmission control units is abnormal or not and the bypass code data contained in the message. The transmission can thus be continued no matter which loop has its transmission control units disordered. And the transmission between the terminals can be performed by the construction and reconstruction of the bypass routes when a loop which has been disordered is restored.

摘要: Transmission and communication of control information through a common signal transmission line are performed with a high transmission efficiency by the use of a control data signal including a content code signal portion and a sub-data signal portion but no address signal portion. The content code signal portion and the sub-data signal portion are representative of a brief content and a supplemental content of control forming in combination control data in the control data signal, respectively. A station with which an equipment is connected and which is coupled with the common transmission line contains at least one content code data so that when the content code signal portion of the control data signal is concurrent with one of the at least one content code data the equipment takes the control data signal for performing the control defined by the control data formed by content code and the sub-data signal portions of the received signal. The equipment is also capable of transmitting a control data signal similar to the above-mentioned one to the common transmission line.

摘要: In a distributed processing system having a plurality of interconnected subsystems of equal level, each subsystem operates to diagnose faults in other subsystems and protects its own subsystem based on the diagnosis of the faults of the other subsystems. The subsystems may be network control processors connected to common signal transmission lines, each of which carries major and minor loop check messages used to detect the faults in the other network control processors and constitutes a bypass route to protect its own unit when the fault occurs. If a transient fault occurs in the systems, an indication of the degree of the transient fault is stored and a possibility that the transient fault will change to a permanent fault is determined based on a time variation of the degree of the fault. If it is determined that the transient fault will change to a permanent fault, it is indicated to a man-machine system. In this manner, a loop transmission system which can be readily prediction-diagnosed for a fault is provided. In a second embodiment, means for calculating a feedback rate of a signal sent out to the transmission line and means for calculating the degree of fault on the transmission line based on the feedback rate calculated by the calculation means are provided.

摘要: In a digital transmission system wherein a plurality of transmission control units each of which has received data error detecting means, data storing means, receiving means and transmitting means are successively connected by a transmission medium, the transmission control unit is operated in a through mode in which received data is directely forwarded under a normal state, and when an error has been detected in received data, the operation mode of the transmission control unit is switched to a store-and-forward mode in which a group of received data are first stored and are thereafter forwarded only in the case of the absence of an error. When normal data have been continuously received in a predetermined number of times in the operation in the store-and forward mode, the operation mode of the transmission control unit is switched to the through mode.

摘要: The present invention provides, in a system having a plurality of transmission control units which are connected to at least one circular type transmission line, a method of automatically checking the overlap of the addresses of the transmission control units in the circular type transmission system or automatically detecting the structure of the system. In addition, in a double loop transmission system which accompanies bypassing, a bypass route is constructed in correspondence with the occurrence of a fault in the system, and hence, the structure of the system changes. A conventional double loop transmission system does not include means to recognize the structure under which the system is presently operating, and this has been problematic in the maintenance of the system. The present invention is characterized in that the transmission control unit sends an address train message when, for example, it is to be started or it releases the bypass route, that the transmission control units having received the address train message enter their own addresses in succession so as to deliver the resulting messages to a transmission line, and that the source transmission control unit analyzes an address string in the message so as to check the presence or absence of the transmission control unit having the same address as the address of its own. Moreover, the analysis makes it possible to recognize the system structure at that time.

摘要: In a multiple computer system, a computer sends a program annexed with a code representative of the characteristic (e.g., the content and length of the program, the cooperation with other programs, the content of input and output data) of the program to the transmission line. Another computer checks the program based on the code representative of the program characteristic, and receives the program if necessary or executable based on the check result. Each computer can set, as occasion arises or if necessary, codes representative of the characteristics of several programs executable by the computer, so that specific receiving stations are not needed to be identified beforehand. The received program is checked based on the characteristic code annexed thereto, and if proper, the program is stored or executed if necessary.

摘要: According to the present invention, a file recovery system is provided in which the commands for recovering files such as a historical file are unnecessitated and the recovery system configuration is independent of the host processing system. That is, since the equipment for achieving a file recovery does not have information about the location of the recovery data, information about the content of a file to be recovered is transmitted to a transmission line. The other equipments asynchronously receive the information and judges whether or not a file containing the same content exists in the own system. If its file exists, the content of the file is transmitted to the transmission line. The equipment achieving the file recovery asynchronously receives from the transmission line the file data of files such as a historical file and establishes data consistency by use of the buffered current data and the event number, thereby recovering files such as a historical file.
