    摘要: There is disclosed a data transmission system comprising a first and a second loop transmission line for transferring data in its clockwise and counterclockwise directions, respectively. In each loop transmission line a plurality of transmission control units are connected in series. Further, a plurality of terminal units each are interconnected with its associated first and second transmission control units correspondingly and respectively located in the first and second loop transmission lines. Each of the transmission control units in the first loop transmission line is interconnected to a corresponding one of the transmission control units in the second loop transmission line by a bypass line so as to make a pair, so that a fault in the loop transmission line may be detected and a loop transmission line bypassing the fault point may be established without using any master transmission control unit.

    摘要: A plurality of machine tools are disposed along a circulating conveyor transporting materials to be processed by the machine tools, and material selector subsystems associated with the respective machine tools are provided together with a load/unload command subsystem. The material selector subsystems exchange information therebetween to track materials loaded on the conveyor under command of the load/unload command subsystem so as to reserve materials requested by the individual machine tools. Each of the reserved materials is unloaded from the conveyor under command of the load/unload command subsystem as soon as it arrives at the position of the corresponding machine tool.

    摘要: This invention relates to a cellular type robot apparatus consisting of a plurality of robot cells each having intelligence, wherein each robot cell controls its own operation on the basis of information exchange with adjacent robot cells. The operations of the robot cells are as a whole coordinated, and each robot cell can be controlled without the necessity of change of hard- and soft-wares even when one or more of the robot cells are out of order or when the robot needs to be expanded. Each robot cell can be provided so that the robot can be increased or decreased in a building block arrangement. More definitely, each robot cell has arms corresponding to hands and feet, and is able to control its own operation. As the robot cells are connected and combined through transmission routes so as to be able to exchange information, they can operate cooperatively as a group to perform a manpulative action. The operation of the group of robot cells is designed also to constitute the shape of a predetermined pattern besides the operations of entwining an object, and gripping and moving the object.

    摘要: A job processing method is provided for use in an information processing system including three or more information processing devices connected to a common transmission line: (a) first of all, in case the occurrence of a job is detected at one of the three or more processing devices, it is broadcast to the remaining plural processing device; (b) next, that job execution for that job is started at a first processing device which is one of the plural processing devices receiving the job occurrence broadcast or the processing device having broadcast the job occurrence; (c) then, the first processing device having started that job execution is monitored at the others of the plural processing devices which are not presently involved in that job execution but have been informed of that job occurrence; and (d) the job is executed irrespective of the presence of an abnormal processing device in case a second processing device, which is one of the plural monitoring processing devices, detects an abnormality of the processing device executing that job.

    摘要: A decentralized processing system having a plurality of subsystems of the same type which are connected to one another. Each subsystem has a diagnosis means for diagnosis of failure in other subsystems, and functions to take a suitable countermeasure in response to the result of the diagnosis. When a failure has occurred in any one of the subsystems constituting the processing system, each subsystem can conduct a suitable fault time processing in accordance with the state of the failure. After the recovery from the failure, each system can execute a processing for recovering the ordinary status. The subsystems can correspond with each other to conduct the processings in synchronization as required. It is, therefore, possible to attain synchronous operation of two or more subsystems in various control systems or the like.
