摘要: An ink jet recording apparatus includes: a head body provided with a nozzle and a pressure chamber; an actuator including a piezoelectric element and an electrode for applying a voltage across the piezoelectric element; and a driving circuit for supplying a driving signal to the electrode of the actuator. The driving signal includes, in one printing cycle, a pulse signal applied with an interval that is shorter than a predetermined pulse interval being equal to a Helmholtz period of a head, and a pulse signal applied with an interval that is longer than the predetermined pulse interval.

摘要: A capacitor element has on its outer surface a cathode layer with a flat bottom surface, and also a tantalum lead extending outward from its one end. One of opposing major surfaces of a flat cathode terminal is located beneath and in parallel with the bottom surface of the cathode layer. They are electrically connected with each other. One of opposing major surfaces of a flat anode terminal is located substantially in the same plane as the one major surface of the cathode terminal and is electrically connected to the tantalum lead of the capacitor element. The capacitor element, the anode terminal and the cathode terminal are encapsulated with portions of the other major surfaces of the cathode and anode terminals left exposed.

摘要: A heating apparatus that enables an abnormally high temperature detection section that detects, when a heating element heated by means of electromagnetic induction reaches an abnormally high temperature, this abnormally high temperature, to operate speedily and reliably irrespective of the material and temperature characteristic of the heating element in a low-cost and compact configuration. In this apparatus, thermostat 301 is disposed on the same side as exciting coil 231 with respect to heat generating belt 210 and between winding bundles of a conductor wire of exciting coil 231. This allows coil guide 234 to hold both thermostat 301 and exciting coil 231 and allows these wires and terminals to be concentrated on one location, thus making it possible to reduce the number of parts and assembling man-hours and configure the body of the apparatus in a low-cost and compact configuration. Furthermore, thermostat 301 operates reliably when heat generating belt 210 reaches an abnormally high temperature irrespective of whether the material of heat generating belt 210 is a magnetic member or not and whether the temperature of heat generating belt 210 has exceeded a Curie temperature or not.

摘要: As a cooling mechanism that cools the entire paper passage area of a heat-producing belt, a rotational drive method of the heat-producing belt is employed and the heat-producing belt is cooled by rotational cooling by being made to idle when paper is not being passed through. An excitation apparatus and the above-described cooling mechanism are controlled so that recording paper is not passed through and the heat-producing belt is cooled while being heated over the heating width when the small-size recording paper is passed through until the temperature detected by a paper non-passage area temperature detecting sensor is at or below a predetermined fixing temperature. This fixing apparatus enables an excessive rise in temperature of a paper non-passage area of the heat-producing belt to be efficiently eliminated, and the temperature distribution of heat-producing belt to be made uniform in a short time.

The driving circuit always supplies an auxiliary pulse signal in every printing cycle. When ink is to be discharged, the driving circuit supplies, after the auxiliary pulse signal is supplied, an ink discharge pulse signal for driving the actuator so that the ink is discharged and so that an ink meniscus vibration in the nozzle is resonant with that caused by the auxiliary pulse signal.

摘要: A terminal frame including plural pairs of terminal sections arranged in rows and columns is prepared. Each pair includes a flat anode terminal section and a flat cathode terminal section disposed in the same plane with their tip ends being spaced from and facing each other. Plural capacitor elements are prepared. Each capacitor element has a cathode layer on substantially entire outer surface thereof, and a tantalum lead. The capacitor elements are placed on the frame. The tantalum lead of each capacitor element is coupled to one major surface of the anode terminal section of one pair of terminal sections, with the cathode layer of that capacitor element coupled to one major surface of the cathode terminal section of the same pair. The frame with the capacitor elements mounted thereon are coated with resin in such a manner that all of the capacitor elements are encapsulated in the resin, while at least a portion of the opposite major surface of each anode terminal section and at least a portion of the opposite major surface of each cathode terminal section are left exposed. After that, the frame and the resin encapsulation are cut to separate the capacitor elements with the anode and cathode terminal sections into individual chip capacitors.
