An apparatus for controlling an operation of a reciprocating compressor includes a inductance increasing device connected to a motor of the reciprocating compressor, so that a surge current generated when power is applied to the reciprocating compressor at an initial stage is reduced and thus an initial stroke of the reciprocating compressor is reduced. Accordingly, operational efficiency of the reciprocating compressor is improved.

Disclosed are an operation control device of a compressor, which can reduce motor loss by applying an AC power to a motor of the compressor without a switching operation of a control unit, and a method thereof. The operation control device of the compressor comprises: a capacitor electrically connected to a motor of the compressor and having a predetermined capacitance; a control unit connected in series to the motor of the compressor and applying an AC power to the motor of the compressor according to a control signal; and a controller detecting a load variation amount on the basis of a current and voltage applied to the motor of the compressor and controlling on/off of the control unit according to the detected load variation amount.

Provided is an apparatus for controlling an operation of a compressor which can always apply a constant voltage to the compressor without noise and a method therefor. The apparatus for controlling the operation of the compressor includes: a triac electrically connected to the compressor; and a controller for controlling a turn-on duration of the triac on the basis of a voltage value of an alternating current power applied to the compressor and a predetermined reference voltage value.

A frame of a reciprocating compressor includes a main frame having a cylindrical insertion hole to receive a cylinder of a compression unit along a center axis thereof and a flange that supports an outer stator of a reciprocating motor at the outer circumference of the flange. A sub frame is engaged to the main frame by an engaging device and positioned to cover an outer circumferential surface of the cylinder to form an oil flow path in a space between the main frame and the cylinder.

A reciprocating motor comprises a mover (400) including an opening unit formed as a ring with an opening on (110) its one side; a first stepped unit (120) in which the inner interval of the opening (110) unit is narrowed gradually toward the entrance; and a second stepped unit (130) continued with the first stepped unit (120) and forming the entrance of the opening unit. According to that, the length of the permanent magnet (420) is decided and the entrance width of the opening unit in which the winding coil (300) is located is reduced, thereby the amount of high price permanent magnet used is reduced, reciprocating movement of the mover getting out of the outer core is minimized, flux on the outer core and the inner core flows smoothly, and leakage of the flux is reduced so the function of the motor can be improved.
