The passages may flow the fluid in an axial direction along the flow path. The apparatus may include an enclosure that receives a sleeve in which the passages are formed. The annular space may be formed between the sleeve and the enclosure. The passages may include an inlet that reduces a pressure of the fluid flowing through the inlet. The passages may include a bore and may include parallel conduits. The first and the second passages may convey the fluid in a first axial direction, and the annular space may be configured to convey the fluid in a direction opposite to the first axial direction.

    摘要: This is an improvement in the way to inflate and deflate a doughnut-shape cushion device by doing it automatically. The electronic circuits of the device are activated by a user through a normally open momentary switch. This action turns on an electrical pump to start blowing air to the cushion and at the same time a solenold exhaust valve shuts off. This rubber cushion, attached to the underwear of a person, is inflated to a pressure pre-established in the microcomputer. The pressure sensing element monitors the changes in pressure inside the cushion. As long as the person wearing the cushion is seated, the computer maintains the solenoid exhaust valve closed. Once the person stands up, the pressure inside the cushion drops below the pre-established valve and then the microcomputer output voltage decreases to 0; the exhaust valve opens and consequently the cusion deflates. Later on, the cycle can be repeated by pressing the switch again to initiate the sequence of operations.

    摘要: A method of providing a flow control device is disclosed, which one aspect may include: defining a flow rate; defining a desired relationship between a parameter of the flow control device that exhibits a substantial change when a selected property of the fluid changes in a first range and remains substantially constant when the selected property is in the second range; determining using a computer and a simulation program the relationship between the performance parameter and the selected property over the first range and the second range for the defined flow rate for a geometry of a flow through area of a flow control device; comparing the determined relationship of the performance parameter with the desired relationship; altering the geometry to a new geometry when the difference between the desired performance and the determined performance is outside a desired range; determining using the computer and the simulation program the relationship between the performance parameter and the selected property over the first range and the second range for the defined flow rate for the new geometry of the flow through area of the flow control device; repeating the process of altering the geometry and determining the performance until the difference between the desired performance and the determined performance for a geometry is acceptable; and storing the geometry of the flow through device on a suitable storage medium for which the difference between the determined performance and the desired performance is acceptable.

    摘要: An audio/video communication method displays the status of participants in a video chat session. The method employs multiple video chat capable (VCC) information handling systems (IHSs) that display video images of the participants. In this manner, each user may see the user's own video image as well as the video images of other users in the video chat session. When a user speaks, that user's VCC IHS detects audio, thus designating a speaker participant. This user's VCC IHS includes a gaze direction detector that determines at which particular user video image the user gazes, thus determining a target participant. The VCC IHS sends speaker participant ID information and target participant ID information to other VCC IHSs in the video chat session. In response, the other VCC IHSs display an indicator that designates one user video image as the speaker participant and another user video image as the target participant.
