    Abstract: A method of providing UE-initiated PDCP status report to reduce packet latency under Multi-RAT Dual Connectivity (MR-DC) is proposed. UE initializes PDCP status report based on some predefined condition configured by the network. The PDCP status report indicates which PDCP SDU is still not received by the UE via one radio link control (RLC) entity, and the network can retransmit the missing PDCP SDU via another RLC entity quickly. The network can enable/disable the PDCP status report via PDCP control PDU or via radio resource control (RRC) signaling. The PDCP status can be used for re-transmission of PDCP SDU on another RLC entity. The PDCP status can also be used as an indication of issues on one RLC entity, resulting in duplication being activated thereafter. The PDCP status report should be sent to the RLC entity that does not suffer from the PDCP packet loss.

    Abstract: In one aspect, a User Equipment (UE) performs Radio Resource Management (RRM) measurements on downlink signals with a first cycle period equal to the UE's Discontinuous Reception (DRX) cycle period. The RRM measurements cycle period is lengthened when UE detects that a signal quality measurement of the primary cell is greater than the sum of a positive offset and a signal quality measurement of a neighboring cell having the best signal quality among all of UE's neighboring cells. In another aspect, a UE de-multiplexes a paging indication which precedes a Synchronization Signal Block (SSB) in time and is generated using the same sequence generation formula as that for generating a Secondary Synchronization Signal (SSS) in the SSB. From the de-multiplexed paging indication, the UE detects that it is paged for message reception and wakes up to receive the message in a next data reception period of the UE's DRX cycle.

    Abstract: A method of UE power profile adaptation to traffic and UE power consumption characteristics based on power profile is proposed. In one preferred embodiment, hybrid of bandwidth part (BWP) and power profile is proposed. UE is configured with multiple BWPs and each BWP includes a set of power profiles. Two types of adaptation triggering can be used, a first type of trigger is based on power saving signals sent from the network, and the second type of trigger is based on timers. When the traffic characteristic for UE changes, the network can send a power saving signal to UE to trigger power profile adaptation, e.g., BWP+power profile switching. When traffic has been digested and becomes sporadic, then power profile adaptation can be triggered based on timers, e.g., a timer for BWP adaptation and another timer for power profile adaptation.

    Abstract: A method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may be a UE. The UE receives, on a primary cell, an activation command from a base station for activating a secondary cell between the UE and the base station. The UE receives scheduling information of a set of aperiodic TRSs. The UE receives a trigger indicating transmission of the set of aperiodic TRSs. The UE initiates a RF chain of the UE configured for the secondary cell in an interruption period. The UE receives, in response to receiving the trigger and in accordance with the scheduling information, the set of aperiodic TRSs on the secondary cell prior to receiving an initial SSB or an initial periodic TRS after the interruption period. The UE performs time and frequency tracking on the secondary cell based on the set of aperiodic TRSs.

    Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure further provide various apparatuses and methods for wireless communications. One apparatus includes processing circuitry that can determine a first transmission power for a first uplink transmission associated with the source cell and a second transmission power for a second uplink transmission associated with the target cell. When the first uplink transmission and the second uplink transmission overlap in time domain and a total power of the first transmission power and the second transmission power is above a first threshold, the processing circuitry reduces the first transmission power for the first uplink transmission to a third transmission power so that a total power of the second transmission power and the third transmission power is equal to or less than the first threshold. The processing circuitry performs the first uplink transmission at the third transmission power and the second uplink transmission at the second transmission power.
