    Abstract: A power tool includes a housing having a base configured to support the power tool relative to a workpiece. The power tool includes a handle coupled to the housing. The handle defines a longitudinal axis and includes a first portion positioned between the longitudinal axis. The housing the base and a second portion opposite the first portion and extending away from the base. The power tool includes an activation switch coupled to a side surface of the housing. The activation switch is slidable in a direction parallel with a switch axis that intersects the longitudinal axis from a deactivated state, in which the drive system is non-operable, to an activated state, in which the drive system is operable. The activation switch is slidable toward the second portion of the housing from an intersection point between the switch axis and the longitudinal axis.

    Abstract: A powered fastener driver includes a magazine in which fasteners of a first length or fasteners of a second length greater than the first length are receivable. The magazine includes a shear block located at a first end of the magazine, a loading portion located at a second end of the magazine, and a feed channel extending lengthwise through the magazine between. The loading portion of the magazine includes first and second slots configured to receive fasteners of the corresponding first and second lengths for entry into the feed channel, and a feed channel access gate configured to prevent fasteners of the first length from being loaded into the second slot. The feed channel access gate is configured as a pivot member pivotable about an axis between a first, blocking position, and a second, bypass position. A spring biases the feed channel access gate toward the blocking position.

    Abstract: A rotary hammer includes a motor, a spindle coupled to the motor for receiving torque from the motor, a piston at least partially received within the spindle for reciprocation therein, a striker received within the spindle for reciprocation in response to reciprocation of the piston, and an anvil received within the spindle and positioned between the striker and a tool bit. The anvil imparts axial impacts to the tool bit in response to reciprocation of the striker. The rotary hammer also includes a synchronizing assembly operable in a first configuration in which the motor is drivably coupled to the piston for reciprocating the piston, and a second configuration in which the piston is decoupled from the motor. The rotary hammer further includes an actuator operable for switching the synchronizing assembly from the second configuration to the first configuration in response to depressing the tool bit against a workpiece.

The handle is movable along a first axis parallel with the working axis between a retracted position and an extended position. The handle includes an upper portion and a lower portion. The rotary power tool also includes an upper joint coupling the upper portion of the handle to the housing and a lower joint coupling the lower portion of the handle to the housing. Each of the upper and lower joints includes a rod extending into the handle and a biasing member disposed between the handle and the housing. The biasing member is operable to bias the handle toward the extended position.     Abstract: A gas spring-powered fastener driver includes a cylinder, a storage chamber cylinder having pressurized air in communication with the cylinder, a moveable piston positioned within the cylinder, a driver blade attached to the piston and movable therewith between a top-dead-center position and a bottom-dead-center position, the driver blade defining a driving axis, a lifter operable to move the driver blade from the bottom-dead-center position toward the top-dead-center position, the lifter is configured to engage the driver blade when moving the driver blade from the bottom-dead-center position toward the top-dead-center position, a bumper positioned beneath the piston in a vertical direction to absorb impact energy from the piston, and a valve positioned in the storage chamber cylinder. In response to the piston compressing the bumper while absorbing impact energy from the piston, the valve adds pressurized air from the cylinder to the storage chamber cylinder.
