摘要: A method for packet transmission in an MIP network is disclosed. A mobile node sends to a Home Agent (HA) a first Firewall Detection (FD) packet encapsulated with IP security (IPsec) protocol and a second FD packet encapsulated with the IPsec protocol and User Datagram Payload (UDP) protocol. The mobile node determines whether there is a firewall blocking an IPsec packet between the mobile node and the HA according to a Firewall Detection Reply (FDR) packet from the HA. If there is a firewall, packets are encapsulated with the UDP protocol and binding update and packet exchange are performed; otherwise, binding update and packet exchange are performed. A mobile node for packet transmission is also provided. Embodiments of the present invention enables the mobile node to exchange a packet with a correspondent node when there is a firewall not supporting the IPsec protocol between the mobile node and the HA.

摘要: A light delivery technique includes optical configurations as well as the associated methods that generate a ring beam from a linear light source. In one embodiment, a remote light source module delivers illumination light to a fundus camera and/or slit lamp. In another embodiment, an arrangement combines the use of a light pipe homogenizer and a ring beam transformer for efficiently collecting light from a substantially axially linear light source, homogenizing the collected light that lacks low angle flux relative to the optical axis, and transforming the light into a ring beam with a substantially improved low angle flux distribution. In still another embodiment, light emitted from a substantially axially linear light source is directly collected by a curved surface mirror and spatially filtered into a ring beam. The ring illumination beam can be co-axially projected on a sample such as the pupil of a human eye and at the same time the light beam also has a large enough relatively uniform angular flux distribution so that a wide area on the retina of the eye can be uniformly illuminated.

摘要: The present disclosure is a novel design of a polarization based stereoscopic display system that efficiently utilizes the optical energy from three primary color solid state light sources of random polarization, combines the three primary colors into a full color beam of a single polarization state to enable passive separation of the two image channels. The high optical energy efficiency is achieved by splitting each primary color light into two orthogonal polarization states. The single polarization state of the combined full color image beam is achieved by employing a spectrally selective light beam combiner or X-cube. By making the optical configuration of sub-module basically identical and sharing a number of optical components among color and image channels, the size and cost is reduced. By compensating the depolarization effect that is introduced by folding mirror(s), the cross talk between the two displayed stereo images is minimized.

摘要: In embodiments of optical arrangements of a working distance sensor in a fundus camera that can improve the determination of a correct working distance as well as the transverse positioning of the camera a number of near infrared light sources are arranged to project a number of near infrared illumination beams into the visible light illumination path of the fundus camera and a live view of the retina under near infrared illumination is captured and displayed on a monitor. These embodiments of optical arrangements and associated methods will enable an operator to directly determine if there is any undesirable flare or other artifact appearing within a designated region on the infrared retina view as a result of a wrong alignment of the fundus camera with respect to the eye in terms of not only the working distance but also the horizontal and vertical positions. Pattern recognition algorithms can be used to further enhance the positioning sensitivity of the working distance sensor. An additional iris alignment sensor can be added to achieve a coarse alignment and also function as a measure to determine if the dilation of the iris size is sufficient for different mode of fundus imaging.

摘要: The present invention is directed to a method for removal of VOCs from wood products prior to drying the wood products. The method of the invention includes the steps of providing a chamber having an opening for receiving wood and loading the chamber with green wood. The wood is loaded to an extent sufficient to provide a limited headspace in the chamber. The chamber is then closed and the wood is heated in the chamber for a time and at a temperature sufficient to saturate the headspace with moisture and to substantially transfer VOCs from the wood product to the moisture in the headspace.

摘要: A method for rapidly analyzing and editing data files with a number of GUI's and an adaptive decimation ratio in a computer allows processing data files and signal data files within a given data segment for a better fit into a limited-size working space buffer and provides improved resolution of data segments in a simplified way using GUI's that allow the user to point and click at a computer screen instead of performing manual calculations. A large data segment is adaptively decimated to a smaller size automatically so that a lower resolution version of the data segment will be loaded into a fixed-size small buffer in hardware working space for further data editing. The decimation and loading process will be repeated until the user finds the desired data-section of interest.
