摘要: A memory device controllable with user-defined commands includes a memory array accessible for reading and writing data therein, a command module that receives user-defined commands for controlling access to the memory array, and a mode module that stores command definitions respectively associated with the user-defined commands. Each command definition includes a memory access command, such as a read command or a write command, and at least one memory access parameter, such as the burst length setting and the read or write latency. By sending a program command to the command module, command definitions of the user-defined commands can be programmed into the mode module. Each memory array access commanded by a user-defined command is controlled in accordance with the memory access parameters in the command definition associated with the user-defined command.

摘要: A system displays a collection of stationary images as a motion picture to passengers travelling in a vehicle along a pathway. The vehicle moves at a known speed and known distance from the images. The system includes an image illumination system including stroboscopic lighting for each image. The images, placed in parallel along the walls of the pathway of the vehicle, are adapted in number, size, and spacing for a vehicle travelling at the known speed and at the known distance from images on one or both sides of the vehicle such as to maintain an approximately constant viewing rate and perceived size of the images. The system includes mounting mechanisms for positioning each image vertically and at a constant distance from the train regardless of unevenness in wall contour. Glare due to interior lighting in the vehicle is reduced or eliminated by selecting the appropriate illumination intensity for the stroboscopic lighting.

摘要: One embodiment of an apparatus for generating a boosted voltage to drive a data signal comprises a voltage pump that includes a driver coupled to an input signal for generating the boosted voltage signal from the input signal; a capacitor coupled to the data signal that stores a charge thereof; and an output transistor that delivers an incremental charge to the driver when the drive signal is asserted. Thus, the boosted voltage signal compensates for a change in logic level of the drive signal. In another embodiment, the apparatus also has gates for combining a plurality of data signals into a single disable-on-low signal. The disable-on-low signal is coupled to the output transistor. When all the data signals are at a low logic level, the disable-on-low signal turns off the output transistor, disabling the circuit. As a result, the circuit conserves power by generating the boosted voltage signal only when needed.

摘要: A computer implemented process and system for providing a test ready (TR) compiler with specific information regarding the impact of added scannable cells and resources on its mission mode design. In so doing, the TR compiler optimizes more effectively for added test resources (e.g., scannable cells and other scan routing resources) so that predetermined performance and design related constraints of the mission mode design are maintained. The TR compiler translates generic sequential cells into technology dependent non-scan cells. In the TR compiler, during replacement, scannable memory cells are used in place of these non-scan memory cells specified within the mission mode circuitry. In this way, the TR compiler is informed of the characteristics of the scannable memory cells during optimization. For test, the scannable memory cells are chained to each other to form chain chains of sequential cells. To account for chaining during compile, the TR compiler provides output driven loopback connections to simulate electrical characteristics of the chain during compile. In the above implementation, the TR compiler can efficiently provide translation of an HDL description with test implementations into a gate level netlist. With the addition of certain information regarding the test implementation (e.g., scan replacement is done and loopback connections are added), the TR compiler of the present invention can better optimize the overall layout for the addition of the test resources.

摘要: Optical wave guides are interconnected with the use of two interfitting shell parts which when fitted together form a continuous tubular channel for receiving the wave guides between there. For this purpose a carrier shell part is provided with a continuous longitudinal groove of a size to accommodate a cover shell part and each part has a longitudinally extending receiving channel portion of complementary form which fit together and form a continuous receiving channel for the optical wave guides which are to be interconnected. After the wave guides are placed end to end in the longitudinally extending wave guide receiving channels defined in the carrier shell, a cover shell is engaged over the carrier shell in a manner which positions it complementary optical wave guide channel with the wave guide channel defined on the carrier shell portion. Wave guide channels are advantageously made with curved up portions at respective ends of the interfitting carrier shell and cover shell. Advantageously, the cover shell has terminal rib portions which engage over weak edges of the outer surface of the wave guide carrier shell.

摘要: A identification tag covering device for deterring catching of a covered identification tag includes a pair of rings that is selectively mutually couplable. A hinge is coupled to and extends between the rings. The rings are selectively positionable in an open configuration so that the rings are configured to insert an identification tag. The rings also are selectively positionable in a closed configuration wherein the rings are coupled to the identification tag. Indicia that are positioned on the identification tag are visible. Each of a pair of extrusions is coupled to and extends from a respective ring proximate to the hinge. The extrusions are configured to deter insertion of the rings into a narrow space, such as a gap between boards of a deck. At least one cutout, which is positioned through the pair of rings, is configured to position a coupler that is coupled to the identification tag.
