    摘要: A lithographic silver halide photographic light-sensitive material is described which scarcely exhibits colored fringe and black pepper, forms halftone dots of good quality whether a fresh or an exhausted developer is used for processing thereof, and which scarcely shows a drop in sensitivity even when a developer contaminated by a fixing solution is used; said material comprises a support and at least one lithographic silver halide emulsion layer, and containing in said emulsion layer or in another hydrophilic colliodal layer which does not contain silver halide emulsion at least one compound represented by formula (I) ##STR1## wherein M represents hydrogen, an alkali metal ion or --NH.sub.4.sup..sym. ; X represents --SO.sub.2 NHR', --COOM', --SO.sub.3 M', --OH or --CONH.sub.2, wherein M' represents hydrogen, an alkali metal ion or --NH.sub.4.sup..sym. ; and R' represents hydrogen or an alkyl group having from 1 to 3 carbon atoms; R represents hydrogen or an alkyl group having from 1 to 3 carbon atoms; and n represents 1 or 2.

    摘要: A method for improving the light fastness of a magenta color image in a silver halide color photograph which comprises incorporating into a layer containing a magenta color image, which is formed upon reaction of a magenta coupler and an oxidation product of an aromatic primary amine color developing agent, at least one light fastness improving phenolic compound and at least one synergistic light fastness improving agent selected from a sulfide or sulfoxide compound represented by the following general formula (V):x--b--y (v)wherein B represents --S-- or --SO--; X and Y, which may be the same or different, each represents --(CH.sub.2).sub.n --R.sub.1, ##STR1## or ##STR2## and R.sub.1 represents --COOR.sub.3, ##STR3## --OR.sub.6, --O--COR.sub.6, --NHSO.sub.2 R.sub.6, ##STR4## --NHCOR.sub.6, a cyano group, an aryl group or a hydroxy group; R.sub.2 represents an alkyl group of 1 to 30 carbon atoms, an aryl group, an aralkyl group, a hydroxy group, a cyano group or --COOR.sub.3 ; R.sub.3 R.sub.4, R.sub.5 and R.sub.6 each represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group of 1 to 30 carbon atoms, an aryl group, or an aralkyl group, with the proviso that R.sub.6 is not a hydrogen atom; and n is an integer of 1 to 4.     摘要: A process for preparing a silver halide photographic emulsion to be used for a photographic material is provided. Therein, additives such as dyes, sensitizers, auxiliary agents to be used upon gold sensitization, and so on are utilized within a period from at the silver halide grain forming time to just before the emulsion coating, and oxidizing agents are added at the time when the functions of the additives become substantially needless to result in conversion of the additives to those having no bad influences on photographic characteristics of the emulsion prepared, or to those having such chemical structures as to facilitate their removal with a washing treatment or the like.Silver halide emulsions prepared by the described process are also disclosed.
