The copying machine further includes a device for producing a first signal in response to each copying operation, a device for cancelling the auto-shut device and for starting, without any stop of the drive motor, a next copying operation, in a case when the start signal is generated before completing the count of the predetermined period of time for the auto-shut mechanism, or when the multi-copying operation is carried out, a device for discriminating whether the drive motor is in an on-state or a off-state, a device for producing a second signal in response to the generation of the start signal during when the discriminating device discriminates that the drive motor is in off-state, a counter device for counting the first and second signals, and a display device for displaying a number counted by the counter device.

摘要： A mechanism for withdrawing and cutting sheet from a storage roll thereof to predetermined lengths includes a feed roll driven by a clutch transferrable between engage and disengage conditions and a shaft rotatable single cycle cutting blade located forward of the feed roll. The shaft is spring biased in a blade sheet cutting forward direction and means are provided for loading the spring following its unloading. The shaft is releasably locked in a blade retracted position and is releasable by a first solenoid to effect a cutting cycle and a timing member rotatable with the shaft acts through a motion transmission to disengage the clutch and releasably lock it in disengage position at least during the cutting of the sheet. Following the cutting cycle, the clutch may be actuated to its engage position by the energization of a second solenoid. Alternatively, the clutch may be fully controlled by the second solenoid by a circuit network responsive to the positions of the timing member.

摘要： In an electric safety switch circuit for use in apparatus having at least one safety switch for detecting at least one abnormal condition of the apparatus, switching elements are connected between a power source and the apparatus. The voltage of the main power source is transformed to a lower voltage and the switching elements are opened or closed by control circuitry in the low voltage circuit. The at least one safety switch is connected to the voltage transformer and the control circuitry such that the actuation of the at least one safety switch upon detection thereof of an abnormal condition actuates the control circuitry to open the switching elements and disconnect the apparatus from the power source.In one embodiment a primary switch is interconnected between the power source and the electric safety switch circuit, and in a modified embodiment the primary switch is connected in the electric safety switch circuit itself. The reduction in the voltage and current in which the primary switch and/or the at least one safety switch are interconnected results in improved reliability, durability, and operating life of the electric circuit as well as providing commensurate decreases in the cost of the electric circuit.

A document fed from a common document storing unit is guided selectively to a first document read unit included in the electrophotographic copying system or to a second document read unit included in the facsimile transmission system by a document feed passage changeover mechanism which is operated selectively by an operator. A document delivered to the first document read unit is copied by the electrophotographic copying system. A document delivered to the second document read unit is converted into a corresponding electric image signal, and then the electric image signal is applied to a communications line.
