    摘要: A multiple location load control system may comprise a main load control device and an accessory load control device. The main load control device may control an amount of power delivered to an electrical load from an AC power source using a control circuit and a controllably conductive device. The accessory load control device may be coupled to the main load control device via an accessory terminal. The accessory load control device may detect a user input for changing a characteristic of the electrical load and may send a signal to the main load control device indicating the user input. The main load control device may detect a pattern of the signal based on a threshold and further determine the user input in response to the detected pattern. The main load control device may adjust the threshold based on line/load conditions of the multiple location load control system.

    摘要: A lighting control system employs a microcontroller to generate time-delay pulses that are synchronized with the AC power. The time-delay pulses control conduction period of a semi-conductor switching device for transmitting AC power to a lighting load. This lighting control system enables the lighting load performing two-level or multi-level illumination in a simple and power saving manner. While the conventional circuits use cumbersome passive resistor-capacitor scheme to generate required timing control, this lighting control system uses simple scheme based on a built-in oscillator in the microcontroller. This scheme provides high flexibility and accuracy to implement delay-time triggering. The system and method in the present invention may simultaneously be applicable to lighting loads of different impedance types, especially to incandescent lamp, fluorescent lamp, and AC light emitting diode.

    摘要: A load control device for controlling the amount of power delivered from an AC power source to an electrical load comprises a rotary actuator, such as a rotary knob or a rotary wheel. The load control device increases and decreases the amount of power delivered to the electrical load in response to rotations of the rotary knob in first and second directions, respectively. The load control device accelerates the rate of change of the amount of power delivered to the load in response to the angular velocity of the rotary actuator. The load control device generates a ratcheting sound when the rotary actuator is rotated in the first direction at a high-end intensity of the load control device. The load control device is operable to control the electrical load in response to both actuations of the rotary actuator and digital messages received via a communication link.

    摘要: A lighting control device for controlling the light intensity level of at least one lamp is disclosed. The lighting control device includes a microcontroller and a user-actuatable switch controller that is operatively coupled to the microcontroller. The microcontroller causes the light intensity level of the lamp to fade at a first fade rate when the switch controller is actuated. If the microcontroller determines that the switch controller has been actuated for at least a predefined actuator hold time, the microcontroller causes the light intensity level of the lamp to fade at a second fade rate for a predefined long fade time. After the long fade time elapses, the microcontroller causes the light intensity level of the lamp to fade to off at a third fade. The first fade rate is based on a predefined fade-off time that represents a time allotted for fading the light intensity level of the lamp from its initial light intensity level to off. To prevent the light intensity level from fading to off before the actuation time elapses, the fade off time may be defined to be longer than the actuation time. The second fade rate may be slower than the first fade rate and have an exponential fade profile. The third fade rate may be a predefined rate at which the microcontroller is programmed to cause the light intensity level to fade from full on to full off. The third fade rate may be quicker than the second fade rate.

    摘要: A movable and delay-extinction illuminating apparatus which can be arranged or hung in a desired position. The illuminating apparatus includes a housing defining a chamber and a transparent shade body disposed on one face of the housing. An illuminating device is received in the chamber. When the illuminating device is turned on, light beam is projected from the illuminating device through the shade body to illuminate the environment. The illuminating device includes an activating unit formed by a photosensitive unit or a switch unit, a time delay unit and a lighting unit. When the switch unit is switched on, the lighting unit is activated to continuously emit light for a certain period of time set by the time delay unit. Thereafter, the lighting unit is automatically gradually extinguished.

    摘要: A dimmer switch assembly includes a housing for supporting and enclosing the assembly components. A dimmer adjusting element is mounted on the housing and has a movable portion for movement in first and second directions. An elongated flexible triggering member has a first longitudinal end coupled to the movable portion of the dimmer adjusting element and a second longitudinal end provided in a socket defined by the housing. First and second detectors are spaced from and arranged opposite to one another. The elongated member is interposed between the detectors such that movement of the dimmer adjusting element in the first direction flexes the elongated member toward to activate the first detector, and movement of the dimmer adjusting element in the second direction flexes the elongated member toward to activate the second detector. The detectors have signals associated respectively therewith which are generated by the detectors when the detectors are activated by the triggering device. A dimmer control circuit has as inputs the signals from the first and the second detectors for adjusting a dimmer intensity output signal to decrease the intensity of a light source when the first detector is activated, and to increase the intensity of the light source when the second detector is activated.

    摘要: The present invention relates to an electronic switch system for controlling AC power to a load. The switch has ON, OFF and RAMP down modes that can be selected by means of momentary touch switches. When put into the RAMP down mode, the power to the load decreases slowly at a gradual continuous uninterrupted predetermined rate. This switch system has particular utility in brightness control of lamps. It has been found that the use of a lamp controlled by an electronic switch of the present invention often will induce sleep for people that have difficulty going to sleep, particularly young children and older persons. Thus the electronic switch system and devices embodying this system are particularly useful in a method to induce sleep.

    摘要: Light control apparatus and method in which commanded changes in luminance in a space are executed in accordance with a rate function generated by a function generator to correspond to adaptability of the human eye to changes in luminance. A luminance sensor detects the luminance to which a person occupying the space was exposed just prior to the commanded change in luminance. The sensed luminance is used to determine the discrimination range of the occupant, and, upon a commanded increase in luminance in the space, the luminance is immediately increased to within the range.

    摘要: An improved dimming apparatus adapted for use in distribution dimming systems, in which dimmer enclosures each containing at least one semiconductor power controlling means are located in a plurality of spaced apart locations, each such enclosure located in proximity to at least one of its associated lamp loads. The disclosed dimming apparatus achieves unique advantages in the application through the use of a semiconductor power controlling means capable of modulating the instantaneous amplitude of the voltage or current supplied to the lamp load under the active control of its control input, a signal being applied to the control input of the power controlling means such that an output waveform is supplied to the lamp load in which at least one transition between a substantially off condition and a substantially on condition occurs during substantially each discrete half-cycle of the AC source and the duration of the transition is increased to suppress electro-magnetic interference.
